About the Job

The Global Patient Marketing Lead will be a critical member of the rilzabrutinib IgG4-RD global brand team, responsible for developing and executing the global patient and caregiver strategy as we prepare to transform the treatment landscape for IgG4-Related Disease. This role will drive patient awareness, engagement, and empowerment initiatives - building the prelaunch foundation to support patients on their diagnostic and treatment journey. This role will be based in Cambridge and will report into the Global Indication Lead for IgG4-RD.

Main Responsibilities

Patient Strategy & Insights
  • Develop and lead the global patient marketing strategy for rilzabrutinib in IgG4-RD, translating deep patient insights into impactful prelaunch initiatives that address unmet needs across the patient journey
  • Conduct and synthesize patient research and journey mapping to identify key barriers, touchpoints, and opportunities - from symptom onset and diagnosis through treatment decision-making
  • Champion the patient voice across the global brand team, ensuring patient perspectives meaningfully inform brand strategy, messaging, and program development


Disease Awareness & Patient Education
  • Design and execute disease awareness campaigns targeting IgG4-RD patients and caregivers, addressing the significant diagnostic delays and knowledge gaps that characterize this rare disease
  • Develop patient education resources that build understanding of IgG4-RD, treatment options, and the potential role of rilzabrutinib - ensuring content is accessible, accurate, and culturally relevant across global markets
  • Partner with Medical Affairs and Patient Advocacy to ensure all patient-facing content is scientifically sound and aligned with the overall brand narrative


Patient Advocacy & Community Engagement
  • Liaise with Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy to align patient marketing initiatives with broader advocacy strategy and ensure coordinated engagement with patient advocacy organizations and community stakeholders in IgG4-RD
  • Collaborate with Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy to translate advocacy insights into patient marketing programs, ensuring patient community feedback shapes disease awareness campaigns and educational resources
  • Serve as the marketing interface with patient advocacy groups, supporting the development and execution of co-created initiatives that engage and empower the IgG4-RD patient community


Digital & Omnichannel Patient Engagement
  • Own the digital patient engagement strategy, developing an omnichannel approach that meets patients and caregivers where they are across digital, social, and community platforms
  • Drive the development of a patient-facing digital platform or resource hub for IgG4-RD, providing disease education, support resources, and community connection ahead of launch
  • Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks to evaluate the reach, engagement, and impact of patient marketing programs


Cross-Functional Leadership & Affiliate Support
  • Serve as the global patient marketing lead within the cross-functional brand team, collaborating closely with HCP Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Market Research, Regulatory, Communications, and Public Affairs
  • Partner with country affiliates and affiliate marketing teams to adapt global patient strategies for local market needs, ensuring consistent messaging while enabling market-specific execution and supporting local patient engagement initiatives
  • Work with Market Research to design and execute patient research initiatives that inform strategy development, messaging refinement, and program optimization
  • Work with agency and vendor partners to deliver innovative, best-in-class patient programs that set a new standard in rare disease patient engagement


About You:
  • 8+ years of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a strong track record in patient marketing, rare disease, or specialty care
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing global or multi-market patient marketing strategies
  • Deep understanding of the patient journey in rare or complex diseases, with experience translating patient insights into actionable marketing programs
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority across global teams and country affiliates
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling patient-friendly narratives
  • Experience in prelaunch or launch environments strongly preferred; rare disease or autoimmune/immunology experience a plus
  • Ability to travel internationally as required

The salary range for this position is:
$178,500.00 - $257,833.33

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs, and additional benefits information can be found here.
