Sous la supervision du directeur des ventes et du développement commercial pour les équipements d'origine (OE) dans le secteur des transports en commun, le responsable des offres a pour principale responsabilité la préparation des appels d'offres et des propositions destinées aux clients, ainsi que la gestion de ce processus jusqu'à la signature du contrat.

Ce poste dynamique et stimulant alliera la responsabilité personnelle de remporter des contrats à une coordination quotidienne avec tous les services de l'organisation, notamment les services financiers, juridiques, de gestion de projet, de fabrication, d'approvisionnement et d'ingénierie. Ce poste vous amènera à collaborer avec la direction de l'entreprise et de nombreuses divisions sœurs de Wabtec. Vous serez également en contact avec nos clients et partagerez la responsabilité de préparer et de gérer des propositions de plusieurs millions de dollars, depuis l'identification initiale de l'opportunité jusqu'à la négociation avec le client retenu et le lancement du projet, en passant par l'élaboration de la proposition et sa communication à plusieurs clients.

Au sein de l'équipe Ventes et Propositions, vous participerez également à la planification stratégique et aux décisions de développement de produits qui déterminent l'orientation de nos gammes de produits Freins, Attelages, Prise de courant, Portes et CVC. Formation et/ou expérience :
  • Un baccalauréat est requis ; un diplôme dans un domaine technique est un atout, ainsi qu'une expérience minimale de 5 ans.
  • Une expérience en vente et marketing est requise ; une expérience dans le secteur ferroviaire est un plus.

  • Responsabilité finale de l'exactitude et de la ponctualité dans la préparation et la soumission des propositions commerciales aux clients.
  • Veiller à ce que les propositions techniques soient finalisées par l'ingénierie conformément aux exigences de l'appel d'offres et soumises au client.
  • " Interlocuteur principal " auprès des clients : responsable des interactions quotidiennes avec les représentants commerciaux et techniques du client pendant la phase d'appel d'offres.
  • Soutenir et coordonner les activités de proposition avec les autres gammes de produits Wabtec.
  • Examiner et négocier les termes et conditions des contrats.
  • Préparer des analyses financières, des analyses de risques et des stratégies pour remporter les appels d'offres.
  • Préparer les dossiers d'examen des appels d'offres pour approbation par la direction.
  • Veiller à ce que la documentation associée à un appel d'offres soit gérée de manière systématique afin qu'elle puisse être transmise au chef de projet en temps opportun.
  • S'assurer que les activités liées à la proposition sont menées conformément aux normes ISO/IRIS.
  • Préparer des analyses de marché des opportunités et des stratégies pour remporter de futurs contrats.
  • Suivre et organiser les données concurrentielles en matière de ventes et de marketing.

Under the supervision of the Director of Transit OE Sales and Business Development, the Proposal Managers primary responsibility is the preparation of the tenders/proposals to the customer and the management of that process until contract signature.

This fast paced and challenging position will combine personal accountability to win business along with daily coordination with every department in the organization, including finance, legal, project management, manufacturing, procurement, and engineering. This role will require you to interface with the corporate management and many Wabtec sister divisions. You will also interact with our customers and share responsibility to prepare and manage multi-million-dollar proposals, beginning with initial identification of the opportunity, developing the proposal and communicating it to multiple customers and culminating with the negotiation with the winning customer and project launch.

As part of the Sales and Proposal Team, you will also be involved in strategic planning and product development decisions that shape the direction of our Brake, Coupler, Power Collection, Door and HVAC product lines. We are looking for an individual who likes a challenge, is passionate about our products and is looking to grow in a role with high visibility within the Wabtec Corporation.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree is required, technical related degree is a plus and a minimum of 5 years.
  • Sales and Marketing experience, rail industry experience is preferred.


What will your typical day look like?
  • Ultimate responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness in the preparation and submittal of the commercial proposals to customers.
  • Ensure that the technical proposals are completed by engineering as required to support the bid requirements and submit to the customer.
  • "Key point of contact" with customers - responsible for daily interaction with customer commercial and technical representatives during the bid phase.
  • Supporting and coordinating proposal activity with other Wabtec product lines
  • Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepare financial analysis, risk analysis and win strategies for bids.
  • Prepare Tender Review packages for bids for approval by senior management.
  • Ensure that the documentation associated with a bid is managed in a systematic way so that it may be handed over to the project manager at the appropriate time.
  • Ensuring that the activities associated with the proposal are followed in accordance with ISO/IRIS standards
  • Preparation of market analysis of opportunities and strategies to win future business.
  • Tracking and organizing competitive sales/marketing data.

Remote work will be considered, but relocation is preferred.

Bilingual (English/French), both written and spoken. Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently based in Quebec to enable communication, as needed, with colleagues and suppliers in Quebec. French language training is offered to any permanent employee in Quebec who does not have sufficient knowledge of French.
