Master Data Management (MDM) - Principal (Vacant Role)Lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of next-generation Master Data Management capabilities that create trusted, AI-ready enterprise data foundations. Design and scale multi-domain MDM solutions that power operational excellence, analytics, agentic AI, GenAI, and data product ecosystems across modern platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and cloud-native architectures.
What You'll Do- Define and own the enterprise MDM vision, strategy, operating model, and multi-year roadmap aligned to business transformation, AI adoption, and digital modernization initiatives
- Advise executive stakeholders on future-state data architectures, including data products, data mesh, lakehouse, knowledge graph, and AI-ready data ecosystems
- Architect enterprise-wide mastering strategies spanning customer, patient, provider, product, supplier, location, and reference data domains
- Leverage AI, machine learning, graph technologies, and agent-based capabilities to improve entity resolution, relationship discovery, stewardship productivity, and data quality outcomes
- Define target-state integration patterns across operational applications, SaaS platforms, ERP, CRM, data platforms, and AI systems
- Establish governance-by-design approaches connecting stewardship, metadata, lineage, privacy, security, and compliance requirements
- Develop business cases and value realization frameworks that quantify revenue growth, operational efficiency, risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and AI enablement
- Lead large-scale global transformation programs, mentor senior consultants and architects, and contribute to strategic pursuits and thought leadership
- Drive development of reusable accelerators, industry solutions, and AI-enabled delivery assets that differentiate Slalom in the market
What You'll Bring- 10+ years leading enterprise data, architecture, information management, or digital transformation initiatives with significant MDM leadership experience
- Deep expertise in multi-domain MDM, hierarchy management, match and merge, survivorship, reference data management, stewardship, syndication, and governance
- Experience with leading MDM platforms, including Informatica, Reltio, Profisee, Semarchy, Stibo STEP, SAP MDG, or custom/cloud-native MDM solutions
- Strong expertise in modern data platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery, Redshift, and associated cloud ecosystems
- Experience designing AI-ready data foundations that support GenAI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), agents, knowledge graphs, and intelligent automation
- Understanding of data products, domain-driven design, data mesh concepts, metadata management, lineage, observability, and data quality disciplines
- Ability to translate complex technical strategies into executive-level business outcomes and investment decisions
- Proven leadership in client delivery, practice development, asset creation, pre-sales, solutioning, and market growth activities
- Exceptional facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring capabilities
Preferred Certifications- MDM platform certifications such as Informatica, Reltio, Profisee, Semarchy, SAP MDG, or Stibo STEP
- Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery, AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications
- DAMA CDMP and certifications across governance, metadata, lineage, catalog, privacy, or AI governance platforms
Work ModelHybrid and client-facing, with travel based on engagement needs (25-50%).
Hybrid/In office: We are hybrid, but there are expectations that if your team leader requires you onsite, you can meet those expectations/requirements Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the expected base salary pay range is $130,000 to $160,000. In addition, there is potential for a 12% discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
