The Full-Stack Developer will apply and continue to develop software development skills to build accessible, reliable web applications and technology solutions that support ACOG's strategic mission and goals. The Full-Stack Developer is an engaged and active participant in an agile, cross-functional solution team. This is a key, hands-on role with a close-knit, strategic team where your work will have impact.
The Full-Stack Developer contributes across all phases of the software development process from design and development through testing, documentation, deployment, and production support. This position will collaborate with team members to develop reliable, maintainable solutions and will provide technical support for production systems.
Note: This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to ACOG's office located in Washington, D.C.Duties and Responsibilities- Perform all functions across the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering and analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support.
- Participate in software programming initiatives to support new innovations and enhancements.
- Code solutions in a modern technology stack with a component-based design, building with UX and maintainability in mind.
- Write unit tests and join in code reviews.
- Develop and conduct software system validation and testing.
- Assist with the development of automated deployment and maintenance strategies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for our ecosystem of COTS and custom solutions.
- Collaborate with and provide support to other internal teams to enhance our products and services and further our strategic goals.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions to understand their needs and brainstorm solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of cloud fundamentals (e.g., compute, storage, deployment) in AWS or Azure; hands-on project experience preferred but not required.
- Exposure to content management systems (e.g., Optimizely, WordPress, Sitecore) is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and a willingness to incorporate them into your workflow.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or technology-related field preferred.
- 0-2 years of professional or internship experience in software development, including C#, .NET, and web fundamentals (HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
- Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
- Experience with relational databases (T-SQL or MS-SQL) and ORMs (Entity Framework).
- Experience building or consuming APIs. Exposure to GraphQL a plus.
- Experience with user interface (UI) and/or user experience (UX) design preferred.
Salary Range
$80,000-$90,000 USD
