Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Forward-Deployed Transformation Consultant serves as a strategic partner embedded within assigned clinical, operational, research, and administrative areas across Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Working directly with department leadership and frontline teams, this role advances organizational priorities through operational and strategic transformation initiatives that improve cost-effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, and financial performance. The consultant, embedded in a business area, develops a deep understanding of the needs, challenges, and goals of that area and collaborates with stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead implementation efforts. Serving as a bridge between enterprise strategy and local execution, the Forward Deployed Transformation Consultant helps translate organizational priorities into sustainable, measurable improvements. This position applies operational improvement methodologies, data analytics, project leadership, change management principles, and emerging technologies to support enterprise transformation and achieve organizational goals. Through an embedded partnership model, the consultant helps improve value by bringing transformation closer to where care, research, and business operations occur.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: Required:- 3 years of experience in healthcare operations, consulting, business analysis, performance improvement, project management, finance, analytics, or related field.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working on cross-functional projects or initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, data analysis tools, and presentation development.
Preferred:- Healthcare consulting, healthcare operations, or hospital experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CAPM, PMP, Agile or other improvement/project management certification.
- Experience developing executive presentations and business cases.
- Familiarity with healthcare performance metrics, financial management, and operational improvement methodologies.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Required:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or related field.
Preferred:- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.
Pay Scale Information $100,630.40-$134,160.00CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
