Role Overview
The Fleet Risk Engineer supports the development and execution of a program that identifies and mitigates emerging risks with potential fleet-wide impact across multiple projects and commercial contracts. The role applies engineering principles to assess technical risks, translate them into commercial implications, and develop systems and processes to quantify and manage those risks. The engineer collaborates across functions to support root cause investigations and risk mitigation plans while contributing to training, reporting, and continuous improvement. This is an on-site role based in Lake Mary, FL.
Support fleet-risk mitigation development through implementation with engineering and outage teams; track application status and mitigation performance across the fleet and fleet leaders.
Develop and maintain processes and systems for fleet-risk tracking, enterprise-platform integration, and data integrity.
Analyze FMEA results, degradation trends, mean time to failure, and other data to quantify risk severity and likelihood; model business-impact scenarios, forecast future states, and compare actual impacts with forecasts.
Apply knowledge of combined-cycle power plants and major components, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliaries, to support root cause investigations and corrective-action planning.
Author and maintain risk-management processes, work procedures, and supporting documentation; assist with report creation, cleanup, and publishing to Product Data Management systems.
Collaborate with Engineering, Project Operations, Project Execution, Commercial Operations, and Legal to build support for the Fleet Risk Management Program and deliver training as part of change management.
Present risk insights to leadership, support planning and design teams with product-application decisions and contribute to departmental and company goals.
Perform other duties as required by the company.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Power Generation Engineering, or a related engineering program from an accredited university.

Required understanding of combined-cycle power plants and major components; power-plant construction and commissioning experience is preferred.
Ability to collaborate across global teams and manage forecasts/budgets.
Strong analytical, modeling, and technical interpretation skills.
Proficient with MS Office; SAP, Power BI, and engineering tools a plus.
Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
