Job Description & SummaryThe Finance AP & AR Operations Senior Manager is a key finance leadership role accountable for end-to-end accounts payable, employee expense reimbursement, accounts receivable cash application, insurance policy and certificate administration, and the month-end close for these areas. Leading onshore and offshore teams, this role sets the operational strategy, strengthens financial controls, and delivers scalable, high-quality services that support business growth.
The successful candidate will bring deep accounting operations expertise, strong executive presence, and a continuous improvement mindset. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to senior finance and business stakeholders while supporting large-scale transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations and SAP migrations. The role requires a strategic leader who can balance operational execution, financial stewardship, and process innovation while building high-performing teams.
The Opportunity: As a Finance AP & AR Operations, Senior Manager, unlock your potential and embrace the chance to drive meaningful outcomes that'll elevate your career. Your role will include, but isn't limited to:
- Leading end-to-end Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable cash application, employee expense reimbursement, and insurance policy and certificate processes
- Owning the month-end close process for designated finance operations areas, ensuring timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations and control reviews
- Providing leadership and development to approximately five onshore professionals, overseeing offshore service delivery, and building a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement
- Establishing performance metrics, service levels, and operational KPIs, while leveraging data and analytics to forecast workload demands, improve decision-making, and enhance operational performance
- Driving continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and process optimization
- Partnering with business leaders, procurement, billings, payroll, tax, and other internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex operational issues
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations
- Leading finance operations readiness, process design, testing, and change management activities associated with SAP implementation and future enhancements
- Identifying and mitigating operational, financial, and compliance risks across finance processes
- Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring timely remediation of control deficiencies
What You'll Bring Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Here's what we look for:
- CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Extensive year of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant leadership responsibility within AP, AR, shared services, or finance operations. Including people leadership experience managing managers, direct reports, and/or offshore teams
- Demonstrated experience leading finance transformation initiatives and process improvement programs
- Proven experience supporting or leading ERP implementations, preferably SAP S/4HANA migrations or large-scale SAP transformations
- Strong understanding of accounting operations, month-end close processes, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Experience operating within a complex, multi-entity, or large corporate environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $148,000. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
