Job Description

The Impact You will have in this role:

The Executive Director, Head of IAM Engineering, is a senior technology leader responsible for the global engineering organization that designs, delivers, and operates enterprise identity services. This leader defines the engineering roadmap and standards across authentication, authorization, privileged access, identity governance, directory services, cloud identity, and human and non-human identity. The role requires a builder who can modernize complex services, strengthen resiliency and production stability, develop exceptional talent, and deliver consistently across a broad portfolio of priorities.

Identity and Access Management (IAM) defines and delivers enterprise capabilities for identity verification, authentication, authorization, privileged access, and identity governance across workforce and non-human identities. These critical, always-on services must be secure, resilient, and dependable to protect the firm, our clients, and the markets we serve.
Your Primary Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the enterprise IAM engineering roadmap across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Partner with senior IT and business technology leaders to drive adoption and integration of IAM shared services across enterprise platforms, applications, and modernization programs.
  • Lead global engineering teams across authentication, authorization, privileged access, identity governance, directory services, and technical operations.
  • Own the full engineering lifecycle for IAM platforms, with measurable service objectives for availability, performance, recovery, security, and control effectiveness.
  • Establish proactive observability, including health checks, synthetic transactions, and anomaly detection, so issues are identified and addressed before they affect production.
  • Champion sustainable, automation-first engineering and disciplined delivery practices, including staged rollout, pre-production testing, rollback, and early-life monitoring.
  • Advance modern authentication, cloud identity, and just-in-time access capabilities.
  • Advance non-human and agentic identity capabilities, including lifecycle ownership, least privilege, and policy-based authorization.
  • Apply AI and agentic automation to reduce repetitive work, improve engineering quality and speed, and enable teams to focus on higher-value design, innovation, and problem-solving.
  • Set engineering standards, simplify the technology portfolio, and translate regulatory requirements into practical technical outcomes.
  • Maintain effective engineering and operational controls, provide defensible evidence for audits and regulatory examinations, and proactively address emerging identity risks.
