Full Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO

This is a foundational role. As our Enterprise AI Manager, you won't just manage a product backlog - you'll help define what it means for Talking Rain to be an AI-enabled organization. You'll own the enterprise-wide AI capability roadmap, working across every function to identify where AI can drive the most meaningful change, and then making that change happen.

You'll sit at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and people - translating opportunity into action and ensuring that AI is adopted not just as a tool, but as a durable competitive advantage.

Reports to: Director, Enterprise Data

Location: Onsite at our Preston, WA office 4+ days/week OR Hybrid 3+ days/week

*While we strive to offer flexibility, this role also requires it. There may be times when you're expected to come onsite outside your typical in-office days to support special projects, team events, or other business needs.

Annual Bonus Potential: 8% - Eligibility is based on the company hitting annual financial targets.

Base Salary: $165,00 - $200,000 (depending on experience)

Note: New hires typically receive between minimum and mid-point, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

Enterprise AI Strategy & Roadmap
  • Partner with executive and functional leadership to define an enterprise-wide AI strategy and multi-year capability roadmap, identifying and prioritizing opportunities across all departments against measurable business outcomes.
  • Serve as the internal authority on AI trends and best practices, helping leadership make informed investment decisions.

Capability Building & Governance
  • Establish and evolve frameworks for how AI is evaluated, piloted, deployed, and retired, including governance standards, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, IT, and security to ensure AI solutions are built on a reliable and secure foundation.

Cross-Functional Delivery
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and success metrics, working closely with data scientists, engineers, and BI developers to deliver high-quality AI products.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure access to the right AI and data platforms.

Program Management & Execution
  • Own end-to-end program management of the AI capability roadmap - maintaining initiative portfolios, tracking milestones, and reporting progress to executive stakeholders.
  • Drive cross-functional program governance - facilitating steering committees, coordinating workstreams, and maintaining program health dashboards and executive-ready communications.

Adoption & Culture Change
  • Drive AI literacy and adoption through training, workshops, and executive communications, championing a culture where teams use AI with confidence.
  • Define and track adoption metrics, ROI frameworks, and feedback loops that demonstrate the business impact of AI investments.

We create connections with every sip. And we've found a lot of value in in-person connections! As a young, fast-growing company, we're still creating and refining the systems that will fuel our future growth. Onsite presence is beyond collaboration, and here is why onsite presence matters:
  • Accelerates process building - Being onsite lets teams test, adjust, and lock in new AI intake, prioritization, governance, and adoption processes in real time, partnering closely with Technology, Business Transformation, and cross-functional business leaders to ensure they are efficient and scalable.
  • Speeds decision-making - Having the right people in the same room means questions get answered and roadblocks get cleared instantly, which is critical when building for scale and aligning priorities across Technology, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and other departments.
  • Strengthens cross-functional execution - Many of our initiatives cut across departments. Onsite presence ensures the right voices are at the table at the right time to align on next steps.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required
  • 6+ years of experience in technology product management, with a meaningful focus on AI, data, or analytics capabilities at an enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling AI or analytics capabilities - not just shipping features, but driving adoption and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience developing AI or technology strategy in partnership with senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to align diverse teams around a shared vision.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex AI concepts into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, model risk management, and responsible AI principles.
  • Experience working in Agile/iterative delivery models and managing roadmaps and prioritization frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programs - including portfolio tracking, dependency management, risk identification, and stakeholder reporting at an executive level.

Preferred
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern AI and data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, Power BI, Copilot, or similar LLM tooling).
  • Experience in CPG, retail, or similarly fast-moving consumer industries.
  • Experience developing people through clear expectations, direct feedback, and accountability.
  • Background in change management or organizational transformation.
  • Understanding of data architecture concepts (e.g., medallion architecture, semantic models, data pipelines).
  • Experience with Design Thinking or Jobs-to-be-Done frameworks applied to analytics or AI product design.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE YEAR ONE
  • A clearly articulated, executive-aligned AI capability roadmap is in place.
  • At least 2-3 high-impact AI use cases have moved from concept to production.
  • An AI governance framework is established and adopted across key functions.
  • AI literacy has meaningfully improved across the organization, as measured by adoption metrics and stakeholder feedback.
  • A repeatable program management cadence is in place - with active portfolio tracking, a functioning intake process, and executive-level reporting that gives leadership clear visibility into the AI initiative portfolio.
