Position Title: Engineer II, Machine Learning Software

Role and Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver production-grade Machine Learning (ML) products from end to end to ensure that Samsung Ads remains a key player in the mobile ads market. Design, develop and deploy state-of-the-art and scalable machine learning models to achieve different optimization goals, such as ads click (pCTR), app-install optimization, ROAS optimization, and retention. Research the latest machine learning technologies with industry trends, create prototypes of new ML solutions quickly, and deploy the solution into production. Analyze complex problems with massive advertising data, identify gaps, and propose and execute technical proposals. Closely work with different internal ML teams (e.g., ML platform, ML serving, and MLOps teams) to improve our codebase and product health. Utilize extensive experience with machine learning and data mining (including work with mainstream ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Spark ML, among others), Big Data tools, and programming in Python, Go or other OOP languages. Closely work with cross-functional partner teams in global settings to deliver new ML features and solutions and achieve business objectives. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Skills and Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field and four years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Engineering Associate, or another related occupation. Must have four years of experience in the following skill: (1) programming in Python. Must have two years of experience in the following skills: (2) performing large-scale data analysis and generating insights for engineering and product teams; and (3) using Apache Spark to author machine learning feature pipelines. Must have one year of experience in the following skill: (4) managing cross-functional data projects including project design, requirements, and implementation.
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week. Salary Range: $255,653/year to $265,653/year
