Full Job Description
We are seeking a Digital Systems Design Engineer II. This role is responsible for providing all aspects of systems hardware engineering and systems application design for their assigned projects. This role will be required to consult both internally and externally on product applications and solutions. Assists Pre-Construction capture efforts with development of new business, product solution(s) application and troubleshooting. The role will interpret customer specifications and requirements to convert into new opportunities and provide follow-up support in disseminating training, technical support and information on specific applications. What do you get to do in this position? • Possess a strong working knowledge of building control solutions and lead strategic development and product platform design for building automation systems of the Schneider Electric product lines. • Prepare technical design drawings, specifications, calculations and supporting documents for Schneider Electric product offering. • Provides complex product and solutions application design and support for both internal and external customers. • Leads interaction with other team functions to determine optimum product/process/solution to effectively develop recommendations to resolve problems. • Provide technical advice to the sales capture efforts to develop, sell, and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customer's needs. • Capture efforts activities may include analyzing customer's site technical needs and suggesting solutions. • Provide technical advice during large or difficult negotiations, or with customers who are of strategic importance to the organization. • Collaborate with strategic consultants and users to define their needs, develop applicable solutions, and influence their adoption into project specifications. • Drive new product acceptance into the technical/contracting community and accelerate adoption of highly technical concepts. • Be highly active in maintaining subcontractor and vendor relationships. • Shape future products by translating customer needs (technically related) into concepts the operations team can execute. This job might be for you if you are a U.S. citizen, and: • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, etc.) or any bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in the HVAC industry • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC controls industry • Proficient HVAC system application and product knowledge, and has experience with lead design, coordination, and support resources for large complex projects over $1 million • Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet competing deadlines • Must have interpersonal and teamwork skills and be able to communicate efficiently and effectively • Experience operating computer assisted engineering and design software programs (programs such as Autocad, Visio, Revit, etc.) • Must have proficient PC experience in the Windows environment, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Let us learn about you!
