  • General Location: Cleveland, OH, Buffalo, NY, or Albany, NY required
    • Hybrid Requirement (if within specific cities): If the selected candidate resides in Cleveland, OH, Buffalo, NY, or Albany, NY, or near a KeyBank office (non-branch location), they are expected to work on-site 3 days per week at the nearest location).

Job Summary

This position is part of the Commercial Payments in KeyBank's Corporate Bank. We provide our clients with best-in-class Treasury Services inclusive of payable and receivable solutions, Liquidity Solutions, Merchant Services, Corporate Cards, Foreign Exchange, and International Trade.

The Product Manager provides support to the Sr. Core Treasury ACH & RTP Product Manager who owns the end-to-end product lifecycle-from strategy and design to delivery, performance, and ongoing optimization. In addition, this role will provide expertise in ensuring Key's compliance with Nacha's ACH Operating Rules & Guidelines and Real Time Payments (RTP) across the enterprise. The Product Manager will be responsible for identifying gaps in Key's environment specific to ACH & RTP Operating rules for KeyBank as both the Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI) and Receiving Depository Financial Institution (RDFI). Product Manager will execute specific risk mitigation tasks and remediation plans for findings in partnership with business risk and first line of defense risk. As a key contributor on the team, this individual will also collaborate with other various stakeholders to accelerate progress towards Key's strategic initiatives by demonstrating product expertise, risk management and socializing any changes to operating rules.

Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with technology, compliance, sales, risk, and operations with ACH & RTP risk related questions
  • Strengthening the control environment across Key related to ACH/Nacha Rules and RTP Operating Rules
  • Ensure compliance with policies, risk, and regulatory standards related to payments.
  • Execute internal and external communications for any changes to Nacha Rules or RTP Rules across the lines of business who are impacted.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Function as first line of defense for KeyBank to ensure adherence to Nacha ACH Operating Rules and RTP Rules across enterprise.
  • Identify and execute any internal findings / gaps related to ACH & RTP policies and procedures to support a best-in-class payable product offering, aligned with Key's strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure strict adherence with product policies and guidelines to meet all legal, compliance, and audit standards.
  • Prepare business reviews to highlight findings and recommendations to management.
  • Deliver training internally and externally to convey an understanding of the product's risks. Support the sales force in selling the products and articulating the benefits to clients.
  • Develop and maintain product collateral, internal procedures, client and market communications to support the sales and product rollout processes.
  • May serve as a Project Manager on product-related initiatives across various channels.
  • Partner with operational payment risk and first line of defense risk to lay out strategy across Key for adherence to ACH and RTP Payment Operating Rules.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred, or equivalent work experience


Work Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services, risk management, or treasury management related to payments/money movement.
  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) or 3 years of experience in ACH related operations or product and/or Accredited Faster Payment Professional (AFPP) preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data query, and reporting knowledge.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
