Full Job Description
Serve as the EHS&S representative for the facility. Lead and manage safety, environmental, and energy-saving initiatives to ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Champion alignment with global standards by cascading corporate EHS&S and safety continuous improvement strategies across the site. Facilitate intra-company communication and reporting to support cross-location transparency and performance benchmarking.

• Cascade Aptar's global EHS&S strategies into site-level initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and standards.
• Lead development and implementation of EHS improvement projects; oversee daily EHS operations.
• Support compliance audits, track and close findings, and implement corrective actions to maintain ongoing regulatory conformity.
• Represent the facility in interactions with external agencies (e.g., state departments of labor and environmental quality).
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and implement improvements based on recognized standards and workplace needs.
• Manage the incident response program; lead investigations, apply root cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective/preventative actions.
• Compile and report EHS data (e.g., energy usage, waste metrics, safety incidents) to corporate stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Engage with other Aptar facilities to share best practices and ensure consistent application of corporate EHS standards.
• Track and report site performance against measurable targets; contribute to regional and global dashboards.
• Train personnel in emergency response protocols for incidents such as fires, severe weather, injuries, and first aid.
• Collaborate with engineering to mitigate risks posed by noise, chemical exposure, or biological hazards.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes and advise facility leadership proactively.
• Champion a culture of Continuous Improvement for safety across all functions; advocate for employee-driven change initiatives.
• Support regional EHS planning and execution, including budgeting, training, and tracking activities through strategic controls.
• Coordinate with global and regional EHS&S teams to align objectives, improve visibility, and ensure comprehensive reporting across the organization.
What you will bring on the journey
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field; combination of relevant experience and education/cerfifications may be considered in lieu of bachelor degree
Experience
• Proven leadership experience managing direct and indirect teams.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
• Demonstrated expertise in EHS Management Systems auditing.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS program leadership and incident investigation experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations; ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 experience preferred.
• Experience supporting cross-site reporting and global alignment is an advantage.
Skills

• Skilled in delivering EHS&S training and fostering employee engagement.
• Proficiency with SAP and other EHS digital platforms.
• Excellent project management and structured decision-making skills.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
• Advanced skills in Excel and BI tools; capable of consolidating and presenting multi-source data.
• Adept at stakeholder engagement, with a demonstrated passion for cultivating a strong Safety and CI culture.
