Full Job Description
McKesson is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, EDI Integration to lead a critical healthcare connectivity and integration organization. This leader will own end-to-end onboarding, EDI operations, managed service provider governance, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship for a large-scale trading partner ecosystem supporting customers, suppliers, and business partners across McKesson. The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and seamless onboarding experiences while partnering closely with business leaders, technology teams, customers, and external vendors to enable revenue growth and operational efficiency. This position aligns with McKesson's LeaderRx principles through strategic leadership, customer focus, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do
  • Lead the end-to-end onboarding lifecycle for customers, suppliers, and trading partners, supporting more than 7,500 annual onboardings and future growth initiatives.
  • Drive onboarding cycle-time improvements, SLA attainment, implementation quality, and successful go-lives for high-value revenue-generating partners.
  • Lead production operations and service delivery across the EDI and integration ecosystem, including IBM Sterling, Axway, Oracle, and SAP PI/PO platforms.
  • Establish operational excellence measures focused on service availability, transaction success rates, incident reduction, customer experience, and service reliability.
  • Own strategic MSP and vendor relationships, including governance, performance management, contract compliance, KPI reporting, and service maturity initiatives.
  • Provide executive leadership for healthcare EDI standards, trading partner integrations, and compliance programs supporting HIPAA, DSCSA, CSOS, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Manage service financials, chargebacks, forecasting, and cost optimization across multiple business units while balancing operational performance and investment priorities.
  • Partner with CIOs, business leaders, customers, and external stakeholders through executive reviews, Voice-of-Customer programs, and strategic planning activities.
Basic Requirements
  • 12+ years of professional experience with 4+ years of people leadership experience managing managers and/or large operational teams.
  • Experience leading large-scale EDI operations, B2B integrations, or trading partner management organizations.
  • Experience managing customer, supplier, or trading partner onboarding programs at enterprise scale.
  • Demonstrated experience leading MSP/vendor governance, SLA management, KPI reporting, and outsourced service delivery organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions, integration platforms, and operational support models.
  • Experience managing budgets, chargeback models, forecasting, and financial accountability.
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Healthcare industry experience supporting pharmaceutical, distribution, supply chain, or provider business operations.
  • Expertise with IBM Sterling, Axway, SAP PI/PO, Oracle Integration technologies, or comparable integration platforms.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, DSCSA, CSOS, and healthcare regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting high-volume transaction processing environments and mission-critical production operations.
  • Experience leading digital transformation, operational excellence, automation, or continuous improvement programs.
  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting RFP responses, customer growth initiatives, and revenue enablement programs.
  • Master's degree in Business, Technology, Operations, or related field.
