Full Job Description
Position Summary:

Directs the conceptualization and delivery of integrated campaigns across all marketing channels, including physical experiences, for a cohesive brand presence. This role requires a visual storyteller who can convert strategic goals into impactful creative that engages business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) audiences. A hands-on, omni-channel thinker, the Art Director manages the visual identity for the Retail portfolio in collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentors junior designers, and manages an external network of creative resources. This role ensures all creative reflects the high quality and prestige of Irvine Company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement data-driven creative strategies that directly support divisional goals.
  • Drive the creation of visually compelling assets and User Interface (UI) designs while ensuring adherence to brand standards.
  • Establish design, photo, video, and motion guidelines for seasonal initiatives.
  • Direct photo and video shoots, including mood boarding, set design, prop selection, model casting, and post-production oversight.
  • Maintain brand integrity and visual consistency across digital, social, retail, print, experiential and video touchpoints.
  • Enforce rigorous quality control standards for all creative deliverables.
  • Manage complex, multi-project workflows to ensure predictable, on-time delivery.
  • Oversee creative resource allocation and agency/vendor partnerships to meet reactive, budget and quality requirements.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of creatives to foster innovation and professional growth.
  • Partner with Marketing, Leasing, Digital, and Asset Management departments to ensure unified execution.
  • Refine creative processes and production workflows to improve efficiency and speed-to-market. Present creative ideas and campaign decks confidently to internal executives, cross-functional partners, and external vendors.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to drive customer engagement


Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to transform "big ideas" into impactful, omni-channel campaigns that drive business growth and property leasing objectives.
  • Deep understanding of B2B/customer behavior, retail marketing, channel strategy, partnership marketing, and multi-platform media campaigns.
  • Mastery of design principles and storytelling ability to actively guide the execution of work.
  • Deep understanding of the latest in digital technologies, UI/UX design, typography, photography, cinematography, and brand storytelling.
  • Advanced technical proficiency (Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma) and experience with print production standards, digital optimization, and content production workflows.


Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)


Preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience developing creative work within an advertising agency or internal corporate creative services department, with a proven track record of successfully managing and developing creative teams.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $150,200.00 - $197,200.00

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
