Position OverviewTiberius Aerospace is seeking a Creative Director to define how the company's ambition shows up in the world.
This is not a role for someone who simply manages an existing brand system. You will help build the system.
You will work closely with company leadership, Marketing and Communications, engineering, and product teams to establish the creative language of Tiberius across everything we put into the world - from major product launches and films to our website, social channels, photography, technical visualisation, events, presentations, and physical environments.
The right person combines exceptional taste with the ability to execute. You can take a complicated engineering concept and find the simplest, most powerful way to communicate it. You understand when something needs to be cinematic and when it needs to be restrained. You know the difference between making something look expensive and making something feel important.
Most importantly, you know how to build a brand people recognise before they see the logo.
What You'll Do- Define and evolve the visual language of Tiberius across typography, graphic systems, imagery, motion, photography, film, digital experiences, and physical applications
- Develop original creative concepts for product launches, campaigns, company announcements, recruiting, events, and major company moments
- Work directly with engineers and product teams to translate complex systems into clear, compelling visual stories without sacrificing technical credibility
- Establish how Tiberius products are photographed, filmed, rendered, diagrammed, demonstrated, and introduced to the world
- Shape the creative direction of Tiberius.com and establish a recognisable visual language across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels
- Lead photography, film, animation, technical visualisation, and content production from concept through final delivery
- Establish a distinctive approach to capturing Tiberius people, products, manufacturing, testing, and deployments
- Find compelling ways to document the engineering process - from laboratories and manufacturing floors to live-fire testing and field demonstrations
- Partner directly with founders, executives, and company leadership on the highest-visibility moments for Tiberius
- Build scalable creative systems, templates, standards, and frameworks that allow the company to move quickly without diluting the brand
- Determine which capabilities should be built internally, which should be delivered through world-class external partners, and what the Tiberius creative organisation should become over time
- Serve as the final creative filter for how Tiberius presents itself and raise the quality bar across all outward-facing work
Core ResponsibilitiesBrand & Visual Identity- Define and continuously evolve a distinctive visual identity for Tiberius
- Establish clear standards across typography, layout, colour, image treatment, iconography, motion, and graphic systems
- Build a brand that feels coherent across digital, physical, editorial, product, and campaign applications
- Ensure Tiberius is recognisable through its creative expression, not only its logo
Product & Technology Storytelling- Partner with engineering and product teams to understand what is actually being built
- Translate sophisticated aerospace, defence, software, manufacturing, and weapons-system concepts into credible and compelling visual narratives
- Develop standards for product renders, diagrams, technical illustrations, demonstrations, explainer content, and launch materials
- Make advanced technology understandable without turning it into generic science-fiction imagery or oversimplified marketing
Film, Photography & Motion- Direct the visual documentation of Tiberius products, people, manufacturing, testing, and operational environments
- Lead photographers, filmmakers, production companies, animators, and other creative partners from initial concept through final delivery
- Establish a distinctive and repeatable approach to photography, cinematic storytelling, motion design, and technical visualisation
- Turn engineering progress, flight testing, live-fire activity, and operational milestones into high-quality creative assets
Digital Expression- Shape the creative direction of Tiberius.com and ensure the site reflects the company's technical ambition, credibility, and point of view
- Establish visual standards for social and digital channels, including LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Create an integrated digital expression that feels like one company rather than a collection of disconnected posts and assets
- Partner with Communications and Marketing to ensure creative work supports narrative, launches, recruiting, and business priorities
Strategic Company Moments- Lead the creative direction for major company moments, including:
- New weapons and platforms
- Product launches and demonstrations
- Flight and live-fire testing
- Government contracts
- Manufacturing milestones
- International expansion
- Partnerships
- Software and GRAIL announcements
- Capital events
- Recruiting campaigns
- Founder communications and high-profile presentations
- Ensure each moment is creatively distinct, strategically aligned, and executed to a high standard
Build the Function- Build a scalable creative capability for a rapidly growing aerospace and defence company
- Develop creative processes, production standards, review mechanisms, templates, and operating rhythms
- Manage agency, studio, freelance, production, and vendor relationships where appropriate
- Help shape the future internal creative team, including its structure, capabilities, and hiring priorities
- Protect quality while maintaining the speed and urgency required by the business
What You'll Bring- Significant experience in brand design, creative direction, art direction, or multidisciplinary design within an exceptional technology company, design studio, creative agency, or similarly demanding environment
- A portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative work across multiple mediums, including brand identity, digital, campaigns, product storytelling, film, photography, motion, or environmental design
- Demonstrated experience defining or substantially evolving a brand - not simply working within an established identity
- Exceptional judgment in typography, composition, photography, motion, visual storytelling, and creative restraint
- Ability to move comfortably between creative strategy, concept development, design critique, production direction, and hands-on execution
- Experience directing designers, photographers, filmmakers, agencies, studios, production companies, or other creative partners
- Strong ability to communicate creative decisions clearly to founders, executives, engineers, and external collaborators
- Ability to take complex technical material and find the story, image, or idea that makes it understandable and memorable
- Comfort operating with incomplete information, shifting priorities, and imperfect briefs
- High standards for craft, paired with the judgment to know when speed matters more than perfection
- A high-ownership mindset and a genuine interest in building rather than inheriting
Preferred- Experience in aerospace, defence, industrial technology, automotive, hardware, architecture, robotics, advanced manufacturing, or another technically sophisticated field
- Experience creating visual storytelling around physical products, technical systems, testing environments, or mission-critical technology
- Experience directing technical renders, 3D visualisation, product photography, industrial photography, animation, or documentary-style film
- Experience building or scaling an in-house creative function
- Experience working directly with founders, CEOs, or senior executives
- Fluency in modern creative workflows and tools, including Figma and relevant Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Experience managing complex, high-visibility launches or campaigns
What We're Looking For- A creative leader with exceptional taste and the ability to execute
- Someone who understands that restraint can be more powerful than decoration
- Someone who can make a technically sophisticated product feel important without making it feel fictional
- Someone who can sit with engineers, find the story buried inside complicated technology, and bring it to life visually
- Someone who understands the difference between a polished asset and a meaningful piece of work
- Someone comfortable working directly with founders and executives who have high standards and strong points of view
- Someone who can build creative systems, not simply deliver one-off projects
- Someone who is willing to protect the standard and say when work is not good enough
What Success Looks LikeTiberius develops a visual identity that is unmistakably its own.
Our products become recognisable. Our launches become anticipated. Our engineering becomes understandable without becoming simplified. Our photography and films become assets rather than documentation. Our digital presence feels like one company rather than a collection of posts.
As Tiberius grows, the creative standard rises with it.
You will be responsible for building that standard.
Growth OpportunityThis role offers the opportunity to define the creative foundation of a company operating at one of the most consequential intersections of technology, national security, and manufacturing.
The systems being built now will influence how deterrence works, how allied nations collaborate, and how quickly advanced technology can reach the people who need it. Tiberius will require more than exceptional engineering to define its place in that future. It will require a creative language equal to the ambition of the company.
This is the opportunity to build it.
