Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services is looking for an experienced and motivated manager to lead, coach, grow, and partner with technically skilled, customer-facing Video and Cloud Architects for the Media & Entertainment (M&E) vertical. This role is based in the US or Canada supporting our lighthouse Media & Entertainment customers (world's largest Content Studios/Film houses, Post Production Studios, Broadcasters as well as MVPDs).

Professional Services (ProServe) engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base to obsessively drive customer success. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to Product and Service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.

As part of the AWS ProServe Video Solution Delivery team, we take AWS products, 3rd party products, and build solutions for our customers. As a Global Practice Manager for M&E, this executive-level candidate has extensive experience defining, designing, and implementing solutions for studios, broadcasters, and OTT providers. Ultimately, you will help us achieve our goal of becoming the market leader and most respected solution provider for cloud enabled video workflows. In this role, you will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well as effective in shaping the customer and solutions-focused skills of your team. You must enjoy learning and introducing new technology in order to help colleagues and customers embrace and adopt new technology. Furthermore, thought leadership in terms of looking beyond the technology and considering the value technology creates for our customers, and helping to change how technology is viewed are important aspects of the role. You will help team members ramp-up on AWS as well as develop speaking, writing, presentation, and executive as well as media industry interaction skills.

A strong Media industry skillset/acumen is a must. We strive to provide perspective guidance to our customers related to their core media business workloads including all segments of M&E industry from Content Production/Creation to Video Distribution and a past experience related to media business will be very helpful for the success of this role.

You will also need to be adept at interacting, communicating and partnering with other departments within AWS such as our Sales, Account and Business Development teams, as well as representing your team to executive management and being able to guide AWS Service teams with appropriate roadmap feature set and Marketing teams with appropriate solution messaging related to media workloads.

Engage with customers and collaborate with AWS sales leaders, business development leaders and engineering teams to drive design wins and platform adoption for Media & Entertainment customers on the AWS platform.

Enjoy developing technical talent to achieve great things. You will have a passion for educating, training, and enabling cloud computing experts for a diverse and challenging set of enterprise and mid-market customers.

Have a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions, business-IT transformations, or relevant consulting experience. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a technical consultant/architect or similar role and managing a team of technical consultants/architects.

You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions.

This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of IT consulting/management with IT Transformation in customer-facing roles experience

- 3+ years of program or engagement management work leading other project managers to deliver a program with multiple and concurrent projects experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field

- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud computing transition challenges

- Experience in IT consulting/management with IT Transformation in a customer-facing role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of enterprise IT management frameworks like COBIT or ITIL

- Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP)

- Experience with customer relationship management, especially C-suite level customer engagement

- Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services

- Financial acumen with the ability to analyze and report on key performance metrics

- Technical proficiency to understand and articulate AWS services and solutions

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
