In this model, CRNAs play a vital role in delivering hands-on anesthesia care across a wide range of procedures, with the autonomy to manage cases while benefiting from physician partnership and resources. Required Qualifications:- Experience administering vascular, minimal pediatric, neuro, regional, and orthopedic anesthesia, as well as anesthesia for outpatient surgery.
- Graduate of a program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
- The minimum education requirement for those hired after March 1, 2019, is a master's degree, or higher, with the concentration in Nurse Anesthesia.
- Insurable by the medical malpractice insurer of MUSC for the required limits.
- Must be recognized as an APRN to be eligible, with current license to practice, or eligibility to obtain practice in the state of South Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) require either a certification from an American Health Association (AHA) for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Provider.

- Cases: Urology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Kidney Transplants, OB with a separate dedicated night team (optional).
- 8, 10, & 12-hour shifts with separate dedicated night and weekend call staff.
