If so, Re:Sources is looking for someone like you to join its legal team in New York to provide sound legal advice to internal agencies and business units within Publicis Groupe, primarily supporting 160over90. Each day in this role will be different, as this position supports a variety of activities.
ResponsibilitiesKEY DELIVERABLES- Contract drafting and negotiations-particularly for a variety of marketing agreements on both the client and vendor side
- Acting as the main touchpoint for certain agency account teams
- Legal review of agency/advertising/marketing materials and programs
- Assisting with litigation matters and disputes
- Guiding business teams on day-to-day operational issues and risk allocation
- Other various duties expected of a general practitioner
GENERAL DUTIES- Negotiate, review, and draft a wide range of complex commercial contracts, including agency, consulting, master services, talent, licensing, creative services, sponsorship, vendor, marketing, digital services, rental, venue, location, and production agreements, as well as statements of work, releases, and waivers
- Research and provide concise advice on a wide variety of matters related to marketing and advertising
- Work closely and collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, operations, finance, security, risk, privacy experts, and account teams on a variety of matters, which might include agency law, media buying, creative services, data ownership, data privacy compliance, IP matters, document review, dispute resolution, and internal reporting
- Provide legal and best practices training to management and account teams
- Make proactive contributions that maximize departmental efficiencies and simplify processes
- Maintain awareness and understanding of the latest developments in the law and industry standards as they relate to the agencies, advertising technology, AI, consumer protection, and other related matters
- Provide support to senior members of the legal team

- Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills that will enable interaction with a range of seniority levels and styles in a fast-paced business environment (including explaining legal concepts to clients and colleagues who may have limited time and/or legal knowledge)
- Have an effective solution-oriented, problem-solving approach to legal issues and a strong work ethic
- Have an upbeat temperament, dynamic personality, and highly team-oriented approach to work
QualificationsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONThe experience and education qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Current membership in good standing of the state bar of New York or another jurisdiction with the ability to register as in-house counsel in New York state
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as an attorney at a national or recognized regional law firm and, preferably, experience as an in-house attorney in a related field
- Experience negotiating, interpreting, and drafting commercial agreements, with experience as the lead attorney
- Subject matter expertise in advertising, technology, media, data, and/or privacy is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Use of computer, speaking on telephone

- Daily carrying laptop and occasional lifting of file boxes
- Ability to travel
WORK CONDITIONS- Some limited travel may be required
- Weekend, evening work (home internet access) as needed
Additional informationThe expected salary range for this role is
$150,000.00 - 165,000.00 annually. We are committed to offering competitive compensation, and the final salary will be based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position.
