Full Job Description
Configuration Hardening Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Define / customize configuration hardening documents, similar to CIS benchmarks or DOD STIGS, for technologies such as Linux, Windows, Databases, Network devices, web servers and many others.
  • Customize compliance hardening verification tools to align with the company's official configuration hardening documents.
  • Scan Swift systems to determine their compliance levels against the defined configuration hardening documents.
  • Analyze configuration hardening deviation requests and advise customers on proper mitigation and remediation steps.
  • Identify and automate repetitive and manual tasks in the day-to-day operations.
  • Identify, document and implement process improvements.


Required skills:
  • Experience with technologies such as Windows, Linux, Web Servers, Databases, Kubernetes, AWS, Network Devices.
  • Experience with Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks / DOD STIGs and CIS tools such as CIS CAT-pro.
  • Experience with Tenable Nessus, including development/customization of compliance audit files.
  • Experience in risk analysis of identified deviations to security related controls.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills
  • Analytical problem solving and investigation approach.
  • Autonomous, driven, with strong ability to quickly adapt and respond to changing priorities.

Preferred skills:
  • Administration experience of Operating System / application / network devices
  • Familiarity with regular expressions and XML
  • Experience with ServiceNow Configuration Compliance module

Education:
University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certifications: Security+, Network+, CISSP

The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position in Virginia is $59,343.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to $110,209.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication, legally S.W.I.F.T. SC, is a Belgian cooperative society providing services related to the execution of financial transactions and payments between banks worldwide. Its principal function is to serve as the main messaging network through which international payments are initiated. It also sells software and services to financial institutions, mostly for use on its proprietary "SWIFTNet", and ISO 9362 Business Identifier Codes, popularly known as "SWIFT codes".
