Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 to 4 days onsite per week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and independently licensed Clinical Supervisor to join our residential behavioral health program serving adolescents and young adults in San Rafael.

This role combines clinical leadership with direct client care. The Clinical Supervisor will provide supervision, mentorship, and case consultation to members of the clinical team while maintaining an active therapy caseload. The position will also work closely with psychiatry, nursing, operations, and residential staff to ensure clients receive coordinated, high-quality care.

We welcome qualified California-licensed clinicians from multiple disciplines who meet the requirements to provide clinical supervision. The ideal candidate has experience in residential treatment or another higher level of behavioral healthcare and is comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with direct clinical work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and case consultation to licensed and associate-level clinicians
  • Maintain an active caseload and provide individual, family, and group therapy
  • Support associate clinicians pursuing licensure hours
  • Provide coaching, training, and ongoing professional development to clinical staff
  • Oversee clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge planning, and other required documentation
  • Conduct chart audits and case reviews to support clinical quality and compliance
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, operations, and residential staff
  • Assist with crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and clinical decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, HIPAA, and organizational requirements
  • Support the implementation of evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, including CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing
  • Contribute to program development, utilization oversight, and clinical process-improvement initiatives
  • Maintain an onsite presence in San Rafael three to four days per week
Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted California license as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Licensed Psychologist, or another eligible clinical discipline
  • Must meet California requirements to provide clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians
  • Previous clinical supervision, leadership, or staff-development experience preferred
  • Experience in residential treatment, inpatient psychiatry, PHP, IOP, or another behavioral health setting strongly preferred
  • Experience working with adolescents, young adults, and family systems preferred
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, risk assessment, and evidence-based treatment practices
  • Ability to balance clinical leadership responsibilities with an active therapy caseload
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and behavioral health documentation standards
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite in San Rafael three to four days per week
Preferred Experience
  • Residential treatment center experience
  • Experience supervising associates completing licensure hours
  • Experience treating trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, substance use, and co-occurring conditions
  • Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Experience with clinical audits, utilization review, or quality-improvement initiatives

Salary Range

$110,000-$115,000 USD
