Your Role: The Engine Behind Exceptional CareYou'll work side by side with our Chief Scientific Officer in our Hudson Yards office, owning the clinical operations that turn a great visit into a seamless care experience: referrals, prior authorizations, imaging coordination, pharmacy navigation, and the hundred edge cases that come up in between. You'll also lead our care coordination team, bringing structure, accountability, and calm to a high-touch practice.
This is a builder's role. NYC is our newest market, and you'll create the playbook - not inherit one.
Location: New York City (Hudson Yards) - full-time, in person, Monday-Friday
Reports to: CEO, with day-to-day clinical direction from our NYC physician leadership
Direct reports: Care coordination team (3)
Compensation: $110,000-$135,000, commensurate with credential and experience
How You'll Make an ImpactBe the Physician's Right Hand Execute and own the clinical follow-through from every visit: specialist referrals, prior authorizations, pharmacy issues, lab and imaging orders, and patient follow-ups. When something gets stuck in the healthcare system - and in New York, it will - you unstick it without being asked.
Build Our NYC Clinical Rails Establish the operational infrastructure of a new market: register our physicians across hospital and imaging portals (Mount Sinai, Lenox Hill, Weill Cornell, and beyond), build relationships with specialist offices and imaging centers, and create the referral network our members deserve. You'll have a proven model from our San Francisco practice to draw on - your job is to make it work in New York.
Lead the Care Coordination Team Manage our care coordinators (NYC, and after-hours coverage), setting priorities, resolving escalations, auditing workflows, and developing the team. You become the first call for operational questions - and the reason they get answered the same day.
Navigate NYC Healthcare Like a Local Use your fluency in New York's hospital systems, specialist landscape, and insurance quirks to prioritize what's urgent, route what's complex, and anticipate problems before patients feel them.
Systematize as You Go Document workflows and SOPs as you build them. Over time, as we add medical assistant support, your role evolves up - from hands-on execution toward broader clinical operations leadership across the practice.
What We're Looking ForCredential & Experience- RN required at minimum; NP or PA welcome. Active New York license in good standing.
- 5+ years of clinical experience, ideally including ER, urgent care, or high-acuity outpatient settings where independent problem-solving was the norm.
- Hands-on experience with referrals, prior authorizations, imaging coordination, and pharmacy navigation.
- Prior charge, supervisory, or assistant-director experience - you've managed people and chaos before.
NYC System Fluency (critical)- Deep working knowledge of New York City's healthcare landscape - hospital systems (Mount Sinai, Lenox Hill / Northwell, NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell), imaging centers, and specialist networks.
- You know how to get a patient seen, scanned, or authorized in this city - and who to call when the front door is closed.
The Person- Relentlessly organized and a finisher - nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
- Independent navigator: ambiguity is a starting point, not a stop sign.
- A true team player who leads with warmth and holds a high bar - for yourself and your team.
- Service mindset suited to a concierge membership practice: poised, discreet, personal.
- Comfortable with technology (EMR, messaging platforms, AI-enabled tools).
Logistics- Full-time, in person at Hudson Yards, Monday-Friday.
- Occasional (rare) travel to our San Francisco practice for training and alignment.
Competitive package. $110,000-$135,000 base, and the fulfillment of seeing your work show up in members' lives every single day.
