We're looking for a collaborative and technology-savvy Business Systems Analyst to join our team. In this role, you'll serve as a key liaison between the business and IT organizations to provide technical solutions that meet user needs and improve business performance. Assist with the analysis of business requirements, problem-solving, and troubleshooting as part of a larger project team. Ensure clear and concise requirements are captured and documented. Participate in testing and issue resolution, support the implementation validation process, and facilitate the development of procedural documentation and user manuals.
This position is primarily virtual; however, candidates must reside in the Columbus, OH area or be able to commute to the Columbus office for meetings, team collaboration, and other business needs as required.
Key Responsibilities
-Relationship Management: Exceptional relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with premier advisor practices and key business partners; takes end-to-end ownership of needs and issues, maintains a high level of responsiveness, and proactively drives solutions through resolution while delivering a consistently high-touch service experience.
-Communication and Technology Adoption: Champion initiatives to increase advisor productivity and adoption of Ameriprise technology. Develop operational playbooks, and documentation and provide subject matter expertise to support technology implementations.
-Proactive Improvement: Provide proactive thought leadership by analyzing technology trends, recurring support issues, and practice needs to identify emerging challenges and continuous improvement opportunities. Translate insights into actionable recommendations and scalable solutions that strengthen technology reliability, improve advisor productivity and technology adoption, and enhance the overall practice experience.
-Problem Management: Provide end-to-end oversight of critical technology incidents. Coordinate efforts of support teams to drive service restoration targets. Collaborate with technology teams to develop corrective action or workarounds to resolve incidents. Ensure action plans are established to address recurring issues, including escalation and effective hand-off to other teams as required. Ensure compliance with incident management processes, procedures, and regulatory adherence.
Required Qualifications
-Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a degree focus in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
-Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in incident management, including hardware, software, and network configuration, as well as incident management support; or equivalent relevant experience.
-3+ years of demonstrated experience in business and functional requirements elicitation, translation, and documentation.
-Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to communicate technical information in a non-technical manner.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills, especially when managing changing or competing priorities.
-Expert-level customer service and support skills, with the ability to proactively anticipate, analyze, and resolve technical problems.
-Up to 20% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
-Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and Power BI; relevant certifications are a plus.
-General understanding of modern technology concepts, including networking, information security, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, with the ability to understand their practical application in a business environment.
-Experience implementing and documenting technology solutions that support business operations, security and compliance initiatives, audits, and third-party relationships.

In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $71,300 - $98,100/ year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
