  • Model defined contribution plans.
  • Collaborate with the team on plan and subsidy recommendations, establishing funding requirements for self-insured clients.
  • Support the implementation processes for benefits administration teams.
  • Engage in training sessions to improve consulting skills.

Benefit Experience Actuarial Analyst or Consultant

Locations: Preferably NYC, or Chicago, Open to Virtual for the right candidate.

Level for the role will be determined by the individual's experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Financial modeling (including quality review) of medical and dental quoted rates vs. self-insured projections
  • Data collection and review: feasibility studies; annual RFP process
  • Checking and quality control
  • Initial RFP analysis (including actuarial value modeling) to assist with pricing and negotiation
  • Defined Contribution modeling
  • Will work within the team to make plan recommendations, subsidy recommendations, set funding requirements for Self Insured clients, etc.
  • Implementation support to benefits administration teams
  • Participation in Health & Benefits practice sponsored and external training, to grow consulting acumen
  • Skills: Project Management, Data Analysis, ActuariaScience, Client Relationship Management

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $110,000-$130,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus] in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
