Full Job Description
The AWS Partner Alliance Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering and expanding Protagona's strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) at a regional level. This dynamic individual will be the primary liaison between Protagona and AWS, ensuring seamless alignment of business objectives, expectations, and growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management (30%):
  • Oversee and nurture Protagona's end-to-end relationship with AWS, including management of Protagona sellers' interactions with AWS counterparts.
  • Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key AWS stakeholders, including partner management and sales leadership teams.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with new AWS stakeholders to expand Protagona's network and create new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Maintain a visual, frequently updated relationship map.


Training and Enablement (15%):
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute comprehensive training programs that ensure Protagona's workforce maintains the highest level of AWS expertise and certification.
  • Monitor and track the organization's AWS certification progress and CSAT ratings, implementing strategies to continuously improve these metrics.


Organizational Alignment (20%):
  • Facilitate the bi-directional flow of information between Protagona and AWS, ensuring that Protagona is well-prepared for any AWS-related changes that may impact the business.
  • Facilitate introductions between Protagona's Technical Architects/Practice Leads and AWS's SA regionally.
  • Work closely with Protagona's leadership team to align sales, product, marketing, and other departments with the overall AWS strategy in each region.
  • Gather feedback from across the organization and provide actionable insights and recommendations to management for continuous improvement.


Program and Funding Management (25%):
  • Manage and optimize Protagona's participation in AWS partner programs, such as Adopt-A-Partner, to maximize benefits and opportunities.
  • Oversee the management of delivery and funding programs, including WAFR (Well-Architected Framework Review), ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Handle funding reports, approvals, and Payee Central/Marketing Development Funds, ensuring compliance with AWS guidelines and requirements.


AWS Communications:
  • Drive the creation of AWS case studies, win wires, and newsletters to showcase Protagona's success stories and expertise.
  • Collaborate with AWS and internal teams to secure a speaking opportunity for Protagona at AWS re:Invent, the premier annual AWS conference.
  • Accountable for creating the AWS annual business plan in collaboration with Sales & Delivery leadership.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • AWS Partnership Growth:
  • 20% year-over-year increase in joint Protagona-AWS customer engagements and opportunities.
  • 15% year-over-year growth in AWS-influenced revenue for Protagona.


Certification and CSAT:
  • 100% of Protagona's technical staff maintain up-to-date AWS certifications.
  • Achieve and sustain an average AWS CSAT rating of 9 or higher.


Program Participation:
  • Secure participation in at least two new AWS partner programs annually.
  • Achieve a 90% utilization rate for WAFR and other funding programs.


Thought Leadership:
  • Publish at least two AWS case studies and three winwires per quarter, showcasing Protagona's success stories.
  • Secure a speaking slot for Protagona at AWS re:Invent in November.
  • Secure two speaking slots for Protagona at AWS Summits
