Full Job Description
Position Summary
The position will be a key part of the North American investments and business development teams overseeing analysis and screening of investment opportunities, monitoring for and supporting responses to Canadian healthcare related real estate RFPs, coordinating due diligence workflows, leading the preparation of Investment Committee memoranda, Board materials, executive and business development presentations, and transaction reporting.

This role will provide leadership to junior members of the team and will work closely with investment, business development, legal, finance and operations internal team members and external advisors. The role ensures transactions and business development pursuits progress in an organized manner from identification, screening and due diligence through presentations, approvals, closing and post-closing activities.

The position is well suited to a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can prepare quality presentations, manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously, exercise sound judgment, communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, and proactively identify and resolve issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate brokerage, investment banking, institutional investing, private equity, pensions or a similar environment.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple complex projects and transactions with competing deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate transaction processes, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, due diligence, and closing processes.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, analytical and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing Investment Committee, Board and executive materials and external presentations.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or developing junior professionals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with virtual data room platforms and Argus is considered an asset.
  • CFA designation or progress toward completion is considered an asset.

Salary Range
  • $115,000-$125,000 CAD per year.
