Full Job Description
We are seeking an Architectural Designer to work with our New York based multidisciplinary team. The Opportunity Responsibilities: • Analyze various international building codes and by-laws especially in transportation sector and provide report to the team leader. • Prepare technical drawings based on schematics and mark-ups including 3D architectural renderings, contract documents and other technical documents or schedules and reports; • Utilize a variety of software including AutoCAD, Revit, ADOBE suite, , Sketch-up, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point and others as may be required to perform duties; • Coordinating with mechanical, electrical and structural Revit models and or cad documents; • Collaborate and coordinate with other team members and consultants ensuring documents are accurate, well detailed, and as clear as possible; • Assist the team to identify potential challenges and solutions • Work proficiently with Revit software and deliver working drawings and documents • Work closely together with the team leader to identify design risks and challenges • Work with the entire design team to ensure the design meets the clients' expectation and a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design is achieved. • Preparation of construction documents for the architectural design of transportation projects in Revit and/or ACAD format. Qualifications: • Graduate of recognized architectural degree program • Minimum of 3 years previous relevant and proven experience in architectural design practice, preferably with a focus on transportation projects. • Strong working knowledge of Revit with 3 years proven record (Other federation/checking software skills are an advantage) • Experience in delivering drawing packages. • Understanding of CADD standards • Working knowledge of 3D computer visualization ie Sketchup, 3D Studio max, Rhino is an asset/Advantage • Visual presentation skills using Adobe Creative Suite is an asset • Ability and desire to work in a team environment • Ability to juggle multiple jobs and changes, meet deadlines, work within a tight schedule and fast-paced environment working with other offices in other time zones • Masterful command of English written and verbal communications skills. Options for alternative schedules and the ability to work outside of the office for a portion of your workweek are available New York Hiring Range - Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York is $85,000 to $95,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary.
