Description
General Description:
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales or the Sales Manager, this role will be responsible for creating, identifying, qualifying, pursuing, and winning new business opportunities related to Diamond's products and capabilities. Also responsible for the management of sales and the relationships with a sub-set of our existing customers and function as the principle interface for Diamond.
Essential Functions - include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Technical
- Must have detailed knowledge on Diamond products and capabilities
- Ability to translate customer technical requirements from both verbal and written communications
- Able to generate technical proposals based on customer provided information with support of internal resources
Business Development
- As directed, support all aspects of business development from opportunity creation/identification to opportunity closure, both externally to the customer and internally at Diamond Antenna.
- Ability to understand market dynamics and the competitive environment to ensure product delivery strategies are positioned to maximize value for our customers as well as internal financial goals.
- Follow-up on quotes and open opportunities. Responsible as the single point of ownership for those opportunities.
- Provide recurring reports to Diamond Sales management on the status of the company's Addressable Market
Sales
- Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with key customer personnel
- Generation of quotes/proposals in response to RFQs/RFPs.
- Coordinate with Customer Service for review and acceptance of POs
- Proactively update customers on Diamond's efforts to satisfy commitments for delivery of quotes/proposals, acceptance of orders, and delivery of product.
- Interact and coordinate with the Sales Team as well as Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance
- Participate in forecasting as directed
- Meet time deadlines to support the needs of the customer.
- Travel (up to 25%) as required to support new and existing business
- Support and travel to trade shows being the "front line" for Diamond Antenna
- Support marketing efforts as required
- Complete any additional tasks as necessary to support the efficient operation of Diamond Antenna & Microwave Corporation
Requirements
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Or, minimum of 10 years working with RF rotary joints and understanding of technical aspects of rotary joints either via assembly and test or design.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with MS Office suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand US Export Regulations (US State Department and US Commerce Dept) as it relates to Diamond Antenna.
- Strong problem solving, decision making, analytical and organizational skills.
- Well organized, able to create and maintain electronic & manual files.
- Able to prioritize when multiple tasks are required to be performed.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to function independently.
- Positive Attitude.

- Annual internal export training provided by Diamond EO
- Other training as directed by management
Physical Demands:
- Light physical effort required.
