Full Job Description
We are seeking an Analog Electrical Engineer in our Broomfield, CO location. In this role, you will lead designs and enhancements for the control systems for our Apollo and Lumos quantum computers (Quantinuum system roadmap)The ideal candidate will be an Electrical Engineer with a strong understanding of designs utilizing ADC/DACs, amplifiers, passive/active filtering, analog control loops, and low-noise design techniques and measurements. Candidates should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, multi-functional team-based environment with challenging technical obstacles to overcome where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complex subsystems or entire electronic assemblies in high-sensitivity environments capable of controlling digital, analog, and RF signals.
  • Drive cross-disciplinary integration between cross functional engineering teams during the design and development of fast ion transport electrical designs.
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to quickly overcome obstacles that may affect the developmental critical path.
  • Perform advanced circuit analysis and simulations.
  • Lead design reviews and ensure design quality and robustness.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Provide technical expertise that informs future product development and process improvements across the organization.
  • Deliver products and achieve program goals in an R&D and rapid prototyping environment.


YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 6+ years of experience in specification, development, and test of analog electronic products.
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status


WE VALUE:

  • Masters/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Analog circuit design and analysis, including ADC/DACs, amplifiers, passive/active filtering, analog control loops, low-noise design techniques and measurements
  • Extensive schematic entry and board layout experience (Altium PCB software preferred)
  • Strong background in feedback control systems (servo loops, motor control, laser locking).
  • Track record of delivering designs from concept through production.
  • Ability to simplify complexity and make sound engineering tradeoffs.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to lead by example through execution of programmatic goals, consistently demonstrating decisive business impact, and continuously driving for improvement in a rapidly changing environment.


$135,000 - $182,000 a year

Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $135,000 - $182,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate's skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
