DescriptionThis position will oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across accounting functions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls, with the ability to work collaboratively with finance leadership and operations. Experience in manufacturing or food processing is highly desirable.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with Infor Syteline ERP is a plus but not required.
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting.
- MBA or other advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Previous experience coordinating audits or working with external accounting firms.
Physical Requirements- Primarily office-based position requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use.
- May occasionally require lifting up to 35 pounds.
- May require travel between company facilities.
