Job Description

The Associate Client Advocate (ACA) is an entry-level position designed for individuals interested in building a long-term career in insurance brokerage, risk management, and client service. The ACA will support Client Advocates and other members of the Willis A&E team in delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to our design professional clients.

Unlike many entry-level positions, this role includes a comprehensive training program designed to provide a strong foundation in the insurance products, risk management services, claims advocacy capabilities, and consulting resources that Willis A&E delivers to architecture and engineering firms throughout North America.

The ACA will gain broad exposure to client service, insurance program design, risk management strategies, carrier relationships, proposal development, policy administration, and claims support while working alongside experienced industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of Client Advocates and senior team members, the ACA will:
  • Support Client Advocates in servicing and retaining a portfolio of architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting clients.
  • Assist with the preparation of renewal strategies, proposals, presentations, and client communications.
  • Coordinate policy administration activities, including issuance, endorsements, certificates, and documentation.
  • Assist with the collection, organization, and analysis of underwriting and exposure information.
  • Support interactions with insurance carriers and broker partners to help secure favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Participate in client meetings, training sessions, and industry events to gain knowledge of the design professional marketplace.
  • Assist with claims advocacy and risk management initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to special projects and operational initiatives that support the continued growth of the Willis A&E practice.

Training and Development

The ACA position is designed as a developmental role with significant investment in training and professional growth. New hires will participate in:
  • Formal onboarding and insurance education programs.
  • Exposure to professional liability, property and casualty, cyber, executive risk, and other insurance products relevant to design firms.
  • Mentorship from experienced Client Advocates, brokers, and industry specialists.
  • Opportunities to pursue professional insurance designations and licensing.
  • Ongoing learning focused on the architecture and engineering industry, risk management practices, and client advocacy skills.

Career Opportunity

This position provides a direct pathway into one of the most specialized and respected insurance practices serving the design professional industry. Successful ACAs will develop the technical, client service, and consulting skills needed to progress into Client Advocate and other client-facing leadership roles within Willis A&E and WTW.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $90,000.00-$120, 000.00 USD annually.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
