2027Summer Internship – Client ManagementAccount Analyst, US

Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters, Austin, TX, and New York, NY.

  • Are an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028 

  • Must be able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028 

  • Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university 

  • Are business proficient in English

Are you excited about the world of investment finance and eager to learn how PIMCO delivers best-in-class service to clients? As an Account Analyst intern, you’ll work alongside Account Associates and broader client servicing teams to support timely, high-quality service across a range of investment strategies. You’ll gain exposure to economic and market analysis, portfolio structures, performance attribution, client reporting, and the ways data, automation, and AI-enabled tools help improve workflows and generate insights. Throughout the summer, you’ll build relationships across teams, strengthen your analytical and communication skills, and gain a strong foundation for a potential long-term career in client management, product strategy, or other client-facing roles. 
 

While our eligibility requirements are not flexible, we encourage you to apply even if you do not possess 100% of the desired skills outlined above. 

 

The PIMCO Internship Experience:  

  • The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program  

  • During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success 

  • Alongside your colleagues, participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts  

  • Join us for a variety of cross-divisional education, networking & social events! 

  • Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders and team offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer 

  • You will build future-ready skills by using AI-powered tools from day one, supported by training that strengthens critical thinking, analytical capabilities, and professional judgment. 

  • You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals

What to expect during the interview process:  

  • After we receive your application, we will conduct an initial review of your resume  

  • If you are selected to move forward, you will take a cognitive assessment and have the opportunity to showcase your interests, skills, and personality by completing a one-way video interview  

  • Once you complete the assessment and one-way video interview, you will have a final round of live interviews via video conference. These interviews typically include both behavioral and technical questions

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.


Hourly Rate: $ 43.26
