About the Opportunity A leading global law firm is undergoing a major HR technology transformation, transitioning from UKG to Workday with a planned
October 2027 go-live. This newly created role will bring in a Workday subject-matter expert to help drive the implementation, guide configuration and module decisions, support data migration, and serve as a key point of contact through go-live and beyond.
This is a hands-on role for someone who has
significant Workday implementation experience and has either led an implementation or played a major role in rolling Workday out across an organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of multiple Workday modules, implementation methodology, configuration, data migration, and ongoing platform support.
What You'll Do - Take ownership of key aspects of the organization's Workday implementation and rollout
- Serve as a Workday subject-matter expert and primary point of contact throughout the implementation
- Partner with HR, payroll, leadership, and external Workday implementation partners
- Help evaluate and guide Workday module and configuration decisions
- Support Workday configuration and system setup
- Assist with data conversion and migration from the legacy UKG HRIS
- Help ensure HR and payroll processes are effectively transitioned into Workday
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution leading up to go-live
- Provide ongoing Workday support and troubleshooting following implementation
- Help establish and improve Workday processes as the organization moves into a new HR technology environment
What We're Looking For - Hands-on Workday implementation experience is required
- Experience leading or playing a significant role in a Workday implementation or organizational rollout
- Strong knowledge of multiple Workday modules
- Experience with Workday configuration and system setup
- Experience supporting data migration/conversion from a legacy HRIS into Workday
- Understanding of HRIS processes and how Workday supports HR and payroll functions
- Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, payroll, leadership, and implementation partners
- Strong communication and project collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree required; field of study is flexible, with HR or Communications preferred
- Workday certification is a plus, but not required

Team & Culture You'll join a small, collaborative HRIS function with significant visibility across the broader HR organization. The HR team consists of approximately 14 professionals, with the HRIS function working closely with payroll and HR leadership.
