Responsibilities

Technica Corporation is seeking a Senior Web Applications Developer.  The Web Application Developer is responsible for designing, testing, and developing well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient, using best software development practices to meet user needs. This role involves recommending software upgrades for current and future systems, translating User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes, ensuring software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing, and documenting every aspect of the application, service, or environment as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, test, and develop well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient.
  • Utilize best software development practices to meet user needs.
  • Recommend software upgrades for current and future systems.
  • Translate User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes into functional web applications.
  • Ensure software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing.
  • Document every aspect of the application, service, or environment for future reference and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and scalable code.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues to maintain the performance and security of web applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the application remains current and competitive.

The position would be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C. and require work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $116,000 – $136,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Requirements
  • Active Top-Secret with SCI and CI Poly eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 8 years of proven experience in web application development.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SharePoint.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end web development technologies.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles and translating design wireframes into functional applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices.
  • Ability to recommend and implement software upgrades.
  • Experience in software maintenance and testing to ensure continued functionality.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React
