Full Job Description
As a Wealth Relationship Manager, you'll work closely with a Wealth Relationship Officer and service teams to build meaningful relationships with high-value clients. The role focuses on acquiring, developing, advising and retaining a portfolio through strong fundamentals in wealth planning. You'll provide solutions across banking, investments and insurance based on each client's objectives, risk tolerance and appropriate asset allocations. Success means deepening relationships, increasing wallet share and building a strong pipeline through referrals and community connections. You'll also partner with Compliance, Credit and Risk and Internal Control to support a balanced risk operating environment.

As our Wealth Relationship Manager you will:
  • Provide financial solutions and opportunities across a portfolio of high-value clients
  • Increase wallet share within existing relationships and identify product opportunities
  • Conduct full needs assessments and recommend banking, investment and insurance solutions aligned to objectives and risk tolerance
  • Build asset allocation recommendations that reflect each client's goals and suitability considerations
  • Develop and maintain an active prospect pipeline to support portfolio growth
  • Represent HSBC in community organizations and activities to strengthen visibility and referral networks
  • Partner with service teams and the Wealth Relationship Officer to deliver a joined-up client experience
  • Coordinate with Compliance, Credit and Risk and Internal Control to maintain a balanced risk operating environment

You'll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licensing required. A contingency period to obtain licenses can be provided at the discretion of the manager
  • Life and Health insurance licenses or willing to sponsor
  • Bring meaningful experience in non-traditional banking financial sales including making client recommendations and increasing sales
  • Apply expert knowledge of wealth planning and wealth products in client conversations and solutions
  • Interpret macroeconomic, microeconomic and local market developments and apply insights to client needs
  • Use knowledge of Anti Money Laundering and relevant US regulatory governance in day-to-day activities
  • Work within the external regulatory framework relevant to wealth management
  • Deliver needs-based solutions using effective communication, influencing and sales skills
  • Strengthen relationships within an existing client base to build referrals and deepen engagement
  • Build business through centers of influence (COIs) and self-sourced opportunities
  • Partner effectively with Compliance, Credit and Risk and Internal Control to support risk-balanced outcomes

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
