Full Job Description
Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic investment professional to join our rapidly expanding team. As an investment-focused Wealth Manager, you will have two main responsibilities: researching, recommending, and managing stocks for the firm's Large Cap Growth portfolio; and working with clients to manage their investments.

This is a hybrid role: 3 days in office / 2 days remote

Primary Responsibilities

This role is a key contributor within the investment team. You will support the firm's overall research effort, focusing specifically on the Large Cap Growth portfolio. A successful candidate will:
  • Collaborate with co-managers of the Large Cap Growth equity team to source new ideas, conduct fundamental analysis, and contribute to the development and delivery of stock recommendations. This may involve taking both the research analyst and portfolio manager perspectives.
  • Provide ongoing research and recommendations on existing equity positions and recommend changes to the model portfolio as necessary.
  • Contribute to research materials and articulate the team's views on individual stocks both within the firm and to clients.

The Wealth Manager will manage the investment aspect of the client relationship and collaborate with other members of the client's team, including the financial planner, associate wealth manager, and client service. You will work independently and in collaboration with other Wealth Managers to help clients achieve their financial goals. For example, you should be comfortable:
  • Managing client portfolios and communicating with clients of varying levels of sophistication regarding their investments and the markets.
  • Leading client meetings and ensuring questions and concerns are addressed. Documenting client contact and follow-up work is part of our process.
  • Delegating general relationship, financial planning, and administrative tasks to teammates as appropriate. You may back up the Relationship Manager as needed.

Successful Wealth Managers may also excel at developing relationships with new clients and other professionals. Growing our business is a core value, and identifying new opportunities and retaining existing relationships is a goal across the firm.

Qualifications

The Wealth Manager role is highly impactful within the firm and with clients. Therefore, the following qualities are crucial:
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional client service. Strong client relationship skills-listening, relatability, communication, empathy, compassion, and thoughtfulness. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally and externally (with clients and professional partners).
  • Trustworthy and accountable with attention to detail. Professional poise, patience, understanding, and tact, particularly when working with clients under stress.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and put the client first. Able to work independently as a self-motivated and proactive manager, while also communicating effectively with a team to serve clients.
  • Strong investment knowledge of both current and historical markets. Aligns with active management and individual securities. Feels comfortable discussing investment strategies and positions with clients in all types of markets.
  • Dedicated to continuously learning and growing. CFA designation preferred. Being active in the community and serving those around them.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $150,000-$250,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate's experience and education.
