The
Water Treatment Utility Supervisor reports to the Water Distribution Superintendent. The primary functions of this position include:
- Supervise and lead water production staff - prioritizing and assigning daily work, coordinating scheduling to ensure proper plant coverage, and supporting staff training and development
- Manage day-to-day facility operations and equipment performance, including daily shift strategies and weekly production reporting
- Develop, monitor, and manage operations and division-level budgets, including cost analyses and budget requests
- Evaluate design and cost proposals for water treatment and distribution projects, and monitor capital improvement (CIP) and LRIP projects from planning through completion
- Serve as the facility's point of contact and public representative - ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, hosting tours, and resolving complex customer concerns

In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED; 1 year of specialized or technical training beyond high school; Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate
- 5 years of experience in water treatment technology, working chemical and pumping systems, and water quality assessment techniques and applicable methods
- 2 years of lead or supervisory experience
- Grade IV Water Treatment and Grade II Distribution Certifications from ADEQ at time of hire (equivalent certification through reciprocity accepted at application, with Arizona certification of reciprocity obtained within 3 months of hire)
- Arizona Class D Driver's License
This position requires a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
