Position Summary On Side Restoration is looking for a Water Damage Manager to join our team! Reporting to the Operations Manager, Water Damage Managers oversee branch Water Damage Teams.
The Water Damage Manager is all about leading people, bringing deep technical skills in water and hazmat remediation, and executing quality work to keep clients satisfied. Overseeing all water damage personnel, the Water Damage Manager drives safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the entire workflow. The Water Damage Manager must have superior knowledge of water damage restoration, stay up to date on all health, safety, and building standards, and possess the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.

Compensation - Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 /year

What You'll Do - Lead and Develop People: Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate branch water damage personnel to build high-performing teams and ensure work is done right the first time.
- Manage Water Restoration & Operations: Oversee overall water damage activities, customer protocols, and specialty drying situations (including Dry in Place strategies and large loss/strata claims)
- Drive Health, Safety & Compliance: Develop and sustain a safety-first culture focused on accident/incident reduction, ensuring compliance with health regulations and building codes.
- Resource & Inventory Management: Define equipment needs, manage inventory, maximize equipment utilization, and uphold 5S workplace organizational standards
- Continuous Improvement & Customer Service: Analyze action reports, implement lean/sustainable solutions, and foster a customer-focused environment through effective communication and team leadership
What You Bring - 5+ years of experience in the restoration/emergency water damage industry •
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role managing employees and team performance
- General understanding of water emergencies with hands-on experience managing large loss and strata claims
- Strong technical expertise in specialty drying techniques, Dry in Place strategies, and building codes
- Training abilities with a passion for driving lean principles, 5S standards, and continuous improvement
- Strong organizational, equipment utilization, and inventory management abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with natural, authentic rapport
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities, mental agility, and the ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), E-Claim, and ability to learn internal software
- Clear criminal background check
- High School diploma/SSGD or equivalent; relevant management or industry training courses
- Applicable IICRC certifications (or a strong combination of equivalent education and experience):
- Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) - IICRC
- Applied Structural Drying (ASD) - IICRC
- Journeyman Water Restorer - IICRC
- Journeyman Fire and Smoke Restorer - IICRC
- Journeyman Textile Cleaner - IICRC
- Level 1 Thermography (ITC)
- Fall Protection certification
- Level 1 First Aid certification
