Full Job Description
The Vice President of Strategic Business Development will lead efforts to strengthen and expand CERIS' most critical client relationships and serve as the point of contact for business development and retention. This role drives strategic alignment across internal and external stakeholders, guiding discussions on current offerings, new products, and future expansions. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert, the VP will support sales initiatives, foster growth opportunities, and ensure consistency in the company's brand image across the industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Initial focus to re-engage CERIS' target accounts to shape the future of the relationships and ensure consistency through deep understanding of current offerings and expansions
  • Guide strategic discussions between internal and external stakeholders on recent expansions
  • Guide strategic discussions between internal and external stakeholders on new products and future expansions
  • Responsible for strategic oversight for our partners to ensure consistency across the company's industry brand image
  • Act as the liaison and point of contact for executive-level discussions on all clients related to CERIS business development and client retention
  • Support the Sales team as a subject matter expert to assist in new sales, cross-selling and drive growth
  • Additional duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of growth strategies, cross-selling, and client retention strategies
  • Strong negotiation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide superior service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Development/related field or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated business background experience and related knowledge required
  • 5 years of leadership experience preferred

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $141,216 - $235,386
