Full Job Description
Overview:

Vice President, Office of the CFO, Analytics and Special Projects is a newly created, high-visibility leadership role within the Paramount Finance organization, serving as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CFO. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution, ensuring the CFO's organization runs with discipline, clarity, and focus and also leading high-priority finance special projects.

The successful candidate will combine strong financial acumen with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, equally comfortable leading a complex analytical workstream as running a leadership town hall. This person will act as a proxy and trusted extension of the CFO across the finance leadership team and key cross-functional partners, while also protecting the CFO's time and ensuring the right priorities get the right attention.

This is designed to serve as a launch pad into a senior finance leadership role within the organization. The Vice President will gain direct exposure to enterprise-level strategy, financial operations, and executive decision-making, while building the relationships and credibility needed to step into a broader finance leadership position at the conclusion of the program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Leadership & Special Projects

  • Lead and manage high-priority finance special projects on behalf of the CFO, including strategic initiatives, cross-functional analyses, and transformation efforts.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the CFO on key business decisions, synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Drive follow-through on strategic priorities across the finance leadership team, ensuring alignment and accountability against commitments.
  • Prepare board and executive-level briefing materials, presentations, and talking points for the CFO.
  • Support earnings, investor day, and board-related content development in partnership with Investor Relations and Corporate Finance.

Priority & Time Management

  • Serve as a gatekeeper and air-traffic controller for the CFO's time, triaging incoming requests and ensuring the CFO's bandwidth is focused on the highest-value priorities.
  • Exercise independent judgment on what does and does not require the CFO's direct attention, resolving issues on his behalf where appropriate.
  • Anticipate needs and potential issues before they escalate, proactively coordinating with stakeholders to keep initiatives on track.

Organizational Leadership & Communications

  • Plan and execute finance organization town halls, all-hands meetings, and leadership offsites, including content development and logistics.
  • Own the CFO's staff meeting cadence, setting agendas, leading follow-ups, and tracking action items to closure.
  • Serve as a central point of contact between the CFO's office and the broader finance leadership team, as well as cross-functional partners.
  • Shape internal communications strategy for the finance organization, ensuring consistent and clear messaging.
  • Represent and speak on behalf of the CFO in select internal forums where his direct presence is not required.

Operating Rhythm & Team Effectiveness

  • Partner with the CFO's direct reports to coordinate priorities, surface issues early, and remove roadblocks.
  • Manage the CFO's key operating mechanisms (staff meetings, business reviews, planning cycles) and maintain a scorecard of strategic priorities.
  • Partner with the CFO and Human Resources on finance organization design, headcount planning, and leadership succession considerations.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to help build and maintain a healthy team culture within the finance leadership organization.
  • Coordinate the finance organization's initial response to urgent or sensitive issues (e.g., control matters, audit findings) in partnership with the relevant functional leaders.
  • Build relationships with Chiefs of Staff across the C-suite to keep the CFO's agenda aligned with company-wide priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 -15 years of experience in finance, strategy, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in financial analysis, corporate finance, or FP&A; experience with financial planning processes preferred.
  • Prior chief of staff, strategy, or similar experience supporting a senior executive strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting board or investor-facing materials is a plus.
  • Strong technical fluency, including hands-on proficiency in SQL and familiarity with AI/automation tools and their application to finance workflows.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level materials.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • High emotional intelligence and discretion; ability to build trust and exercise sound judgment across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable operating with significant autonomy and representing the CFO's perspective in his absence.
