Job Summary

The Vice President, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Site Support serves as West's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and is responsible for leading the global strategy, governance, architecture, operations, and transformation of enterprise cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, end-user computing, and global site support services.

This executive ensures the availability, resiliency, security, and operational excellence of West's global technology landscape supporting manufacturing, laboratories, commercial operations, corporate offices, and remote employees.

As the organization's CISO, the role establishes enterprise cyber risk management, security governance, regulatory compliance, cyber resilience, and executive reporting while enabling secure digital transformation initiatives across cloud, ERP, AI, manufacturing, and customer platforms.

The role partners closely with executive leadership, business functions, Internal Audit, Legal, Quality, Privacy, Risk Management, and Technology leaders to ensure technology capabilities remain secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned with business strategy. #LI-CT1

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the global strategy for Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Network Services, Cloud Platforms, and Site IT Support, aligning technology capabilities with business objectives.
  • Serve as the organization's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), establishing enterprise cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the design, operation, and continuous modernization of global infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, end-user computing, and enterprise technology services to ensure secure, resilient, and highly available operations.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise security architecture and a Secure-by-Design framework across corporate, cloud, manufacturing, laboratory, and digital platforms.
  • Direct enterprise cyber defense capabilities, including security operations, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, identity and access management, incident response, and cyber resilience.
  • Partner with executive leadership and business stakeholders to enable secure digital transformation initiatives, including ERP, AI, manufacturing systems, laboratories, commercial platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory, privacy, and industry standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, GxP, SOX, GDPR, Computer Systems Validation (CSV), and customer security requirements.
  • Oversee enterprise business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, and operational resilience to support 24x7 global business operations.
  • Establish governance frameworks, performance metrics, and operational KPIs to improve service quality, cybersecurity maturity, risk posture, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead global technology budgets, strategic sourcing, vendor relationships, and managed service providers to optimize investment and operational performance.
  • Build and develop high-performing global teams while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and security awareness.
  • Advise executive leadership and the Board on cybersecurity strategy, enterprise risk, technology investments, and emerging threats, ensuring technology decisions support long-term business growth and resilience.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (required) - Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
  • Master's Degree (preferred) - MBA, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field


Work Experience

  • Minimum 18 years of progressive IT leadership experience
  • Minimum 10 years leading global Infrastructure and Cybersecurity organizations
  • Demonstrated executive leadership within multinational organizations
  • Experience supporting regulated industries such as Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences preferred
  • Experience leading global 24x7 operations
  • Experience leading cloud transformation initiatives
  • Experience building enterprise cybersecurity programs
  • Experience presenting cyber risk and technology strategy to executive leadership and Boards
