OverviewThe VP, Account Director, Growth is a hybrid client and growth leader responsible for nurturing and expanding a portfolio of approximately three Publicis Health clients while supporting priority pitches and new-business opportunities across the network. Reporting to Publics Health's Chief Growth Officer, this leader will translate client and market needs into compelling narratives, future-forward solutions, and measurable revenue growth.
This position sits in the Publicis Health Growth Team and works in partnership with the individual Agencies' growth teams. This isn't a sales role - it's a role that fulfills growth opportunities independently from Publicis Health or supports the Agencies in their own new business pursuits. If the Account Director helps win a piece of business they will have the option to either transition that business to a new Account Lead or to stay with the business. The right person enjoys both account management and growth, thrives in ambiguity, and can mobilize the broader Publicis Health network to deliver.
ResponsibilitiesGrow Client Relationships- Nurture senior relationships and lead the growth strategy for approximately three assigned clients, with specific assignments confirmed based on business need and potential conflicts.
- Identify, shape, and convert opportunities that expand services and revenue.
- Maintain thoughtful, consistent client engagement by understanding the business, therapeutic context, patient needs, and day-to-day team dynamics.
- Anticipate client needs and bring forward relevant ideas, capabilities, and points of view.
Drive New Business- Write and build capabilities presentations, strategic narratives, proposals, business plans, and other client-ready materials that connect complex needs to a compelling story.
- Lead or support priority pitches based on agency need and capacity, flexing from independent pitch lead to second chair or hands-on contributor across strategy, writing, scheduling, casting, presentation, and follow-up.
- Translate industry, market, client, and patient challenges into differentiated Publicis Health solutions that help secure roster access and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Develop at least one future-forward, measurable business plan for a product, department, agency, or Center of Excellence that positions Publicis Health for emerging market growth.
Partner Across Publicis Health- Build the organizational knowledge and internal relationships needed to navigate Publicis Health effectively, including regular in-person connection in New York.
- Partner closely with business development, strategic operations, medical, account, capability, and agency growth leaders to usher opportunities from identification through pitch and transition.
- Connect the right expertise to each opportunity and demonstrate that together we go further.

Qualifications- 10+ years of experience within a pharmaceutical or healthcare agency environment; deep fluency in healthcare is required.
- Seasoned account leadership experience managing healthcare business and nurturing senior client relationships; experience may come from a network or boutique healthcare agency.
- Meaningful ownership across at least three new-business pitches, with clear examples of personally shaping strategy, narrative, content, presentation, or delivery.
- Proven success expanding existing client relationships and generating incremental revenue.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, creative thinking, executive presence, and presentation skills; candidates should be prepared to share relevant writing, deck, thought-leadership, or business-plan samples.
- Experience in oncology, obesity, rare disease, or CNS is preferred.
- Proficiency with AI tools and the judgment to use them effectively in day-to-day work.
- Ability to navigate a complex agency network and mobilize cross-functional experts.
- Exceptional self-management, prioritization, and delivery skills in a fast-changing environment.
- Confident and ambitious, yet humble, collaborative, commercially minded, people-positive, and comfortable doing hands-on work in a fast-moving environment.
- Willing and eager to work regularly from the New York City office to build relationships, access organizational knowledge, and partner closely with senior leadership.

Compensation Range: USD $149,340.00 - USD $239,148.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
