Vice President of Supply Chain Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota or any Viking Electric Geography

Salary: $200,000 - $275,000
*Compensation for this position includes annual salary, 50% short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role as well as the geographic location of the role.
What You'll Do As Vice President of Supply Chain, you'll provide strategic vision and leadership for Viking Electric's supply chain strategy, including purchasing, category management, supplier relations, inventory, and pricing. You'll optimize supplier partnerships, product portfolio performance, inventory investment, and pricing effectiveness to drive profitable growth, competitive advantage, and a market-leading customer experience.
You will... • Define and execute strategies for inventory investment, procurement, replenishment, and inventory productivity.
• Partner with Operations and Sales leadership to optimize inventory deployment across the network.
• Improve forecasting, demand planning, and sales and inventory operations planning (SIOP), supported by key performance indicators for inventory health, service levels, and working capital.
• Direct enterprise purchasing and supplier relationship strategies while strengthening growth with strategic vendors.
• Negotiate strategic supplier agreements that improve service levels, product availability, and profitability, and establish supplier performance measures and accountability processes.
• Develop and oversee enterprise pricing strategies, governance, analytics, and margin optimization efforts that balance growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.
• Partner with Sales leadership to align pricing practices with customer segmentation and growth strategies.
• Lead Category Management in developing assortment, supplier, product, and category strategies that maximize sales growth, profitability, and market share.
• Analyze market trends, customer demand, supplier capabilities, and competitive dynamics to optimize category performance and align category strategies with business objectives.
• Build and develop a high-performing supply chain organization by setting clear expectations, strengthening accountability, coaching future leaders, and fostering continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
• Serve as an active member of the Viking Electric Leadership Team and contribute to enterprise strategy, annual business planning, and organizational transformation.
• Maintain customer connectivity and market intelligence, collaborate with Sonepar Supply Chain leadership, and champion change that improves business performance and associate engagement.
What You Bring Requirements: • At least 10 years of management experience.
• Experience leading organizational transformation and applying change management practices.
• Demonstrated experience driving and implementing process improvements.
• Experience defining and executing strategy at the executive level.
• Strong analytical, organizational, strategic, change management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead people, develop teams, and drive results through others.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, sound judgment, integrity, and a commitment to performance and results.
• Ability to adapt to new situations, people, cultures, and technology; appropriately challenge the status quo; and apply new learning to business priorities.
• High emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, motivation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications: • Management experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain.
• Experience working in distribution.
Additional requirements: • Ability to travel to Viking Electric, customer, and vendor locations.
• Willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends and additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
