The OpportunityPTC is at an inflection point. We're kicking off one of the most significant transformation initiatives in the company's history: a full-scale rationalization of our technology vendor and sourcing ecosystem. This isn't a "nice to have" project buried in procurement - it has direct sponsorship from our executive leadership team, who are actively clearing the path across the business to make it happen.
We're looking for a Vice President, Global Procurement who has done this before - not supported it, not advised on it, led it. Someone who has sat in the driver's seat of an enterprise-wide technology and vendor consolidation, negotiated the big, complex, multi-year tech agreements (think Microsoft, Oracle, Workday-scale), and knows how to navigate the shift from legacy licensing to consumption-based commercial models. You'll walk into a role with real executive air cover, a global team of ~20 procurement professionals to help shape, and a mandate to make a measurable, bottom-line impact - fast.
If you've delivered this kind of transformation elsewhere and are ready for a new one, this is the seat.
What You'll Do- Develop and execute a global sourcing and procurement strategy aligned to corporate objectives, including a multi-year roadmap for vendor and technology rationalization that drives significant, measurable cost savings
- Lead executive-level negotiations on high-value contracts and critical vendor agreements, building escalation strategies that get results
- Build out a formal RFP strategy and process for large-spend negotiations
- Lead, develop, and help shape the structure of a high-performing global procurement team spanning the US, India, Romania, Brazil, and Europe
- Leverage modern procurement technology and analytics - including AI - to surface process improvements and vendor insights, and own PTC's vendor data governance model
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and IT/R&D leadership to align priorities, streamline the third-party technology landscape, and keep stakeholders across the business informed on the status of major negotiations
- Advance responsible sourcing practices, including supplier diversity, sustainability, and regulatory compliance
- Establish and report on SLAs, KPIs, and other performance metrics that make progress visible at the executive level
What We're Looking For- 12+ years of progressive strategic sourcing and procurement experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership
- A proven, hands-on track record leading - not just participating in - an enterprise-wide technology vendor consolidation, ideally at a technology or software company
- Deep fluency in tech commercial models: SaaS subscription metrics, cloud consumption/compute pricing, enterprise software licensing, and vendor discount structures
- A strong track record negotiating large, complex enterprise technology agreements (major vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, Workday, etc.)
- Experience navigating the shift from license-based to consumption-based commercial models
- Exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills - you'll need to hold the line with senior cross-functional leaders across the business
- Experience building and leading geographically dispersed teams
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Based in or able to work regularly from our Boston, MA headquarters
