Overview

The Publicis Groupe Business Development team is charged with bringing together the Groupe's marketing and digital business transformation offerings across creativity, media, data and technology, to drive business growth.

The role partners with key stakeholders to drive successful new business outcomes. Success requires strong project management, operational excellence, and collaboration across brands, geographies, and disciplines. The ideal candidate can manage multiple priorities and stakeholders while supporting seamless pitch execution and strategic storytelling in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

PRODUCE WINNING WORK
• Elevate the strategic proposition and commercial offering, highlighting the Groupe capabilities that align with our Groupe proposition
• Lead pitch teams in telling a simple yet differentiating story that delivers a consistent message from capabilities to communications, pricing and talent
• Deep understanding of the macro forces at play in the marketplace to identify the core challenges in clients' worlds and how Publicis Groupe can create value.
• Know the changing advertising agency landscape, identifying competitors' points of difference and potential vulnerabilities
• Champion the adoption of AI, automation and emerging technologies to accelerate insight development, enhance strategic thinking and improve the effectiveness of pitch delivery.
• Partner closely with content, design and subject matter experts to translate strategic narratives into clear, compelling and visually cohesive pitch materials

LEAD TEAMS
• Lead large-scale, complex new business pitches, casting and guiding cross-functional teams, building winning strategies and identifying barriers to success
• Operate at both the strategic and executional level, aligning senior stakeholders around a clear vision while ensuring flawless delivery across complex and matrixed opportunities
• Motivate pitch-winning teams through demanding, high-pressure processes, making new business a destination people want to be part of
• Effectively consult, manage and challenge all levels of management and personnel to deliver growth results
• Coach teams to enhance peak performance in rehearsals and critical client interactions.
• Establish collaborative relationships across Publicis Groupe agencies, brands and practices to ensure a consistent strategy is deployed on pitches
• Serve as a thought leader across the Business Development organization, developing talent, sharing best practices and driving the evolution of new business capabilities across the Groupe

DESIGNING, ACTIVATING AND OWNING THE PITCH DELIVERY PLAN
• Maintain full accountability for a first-class pitch management process from kick-off through post-pitch contact strategy across all Groupe brands
• Manage the flow of communication, including collection and distribution of information between client teams, consultants, intermediaries, pitch teams and senior leadership.
• Lead with a robust understanding of all aspects of the Groupe, including media, creative, data, technology, products, tools and commercial models, and understand how those capabilities compare against competitors

CLOSE COLLABORATION
• Serve as the primary steward and ambassador of the Groupe proposition and Power of One model
• Lead close collaboration across Publicis Groupe to unlock Power of One opportunities and ensure a consistent, winning strategy is deployed across all pitches
• Build credibility and influence with senior client stakeholders, consultants and executive leadership to strengthen Publicis Groupe's competitive position throughout the pitch process
• Ensure accountability across key pitch stakeholders to meet deadlines, commitments and deliverables

Qualifications
• 12+ years of media, creative, PR planning/strategy, integrated marketing or related experience; experience in business development or adjacent disciplines with transferable leadership skills (e.g., strategy, consulting, account leadership)
• Drives vision and purpose, painting a compelling picture of the future that motivates individuals and teams to action
• Self-starter who is curious, entrepreneurial and proactively thinks around corners
• Equally comfortable operating at the strategic level and driving executional detail
• Excellent attention to detail with a passion for organizing process, people and outcomes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple high-priority opportunities simultaneously
• Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams toward a common vision and shared outcome

Compensation Range: USD $149,340.00 - USD $239,148.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
