Vice President / Senior Vice President, Data & AnalyticsThe RoleWe are looking for someone equally comfortable in a trial balance and a Power BI model. This is a hands-on leadership role in Palm Tree's Data & Analytics practice: you will design the data models behind our engagements, lead the teams that build them, and work directly with CFOs and operators to turn financial and operational questions into reporting they can run the business on.
Our clients are private equity portfolio companies and middle-market businesses, often in the middle of an acquisition, carve-out, or integration. That means real deadlines, source data from more than one system, and finance stakeholders who will check your numbers. Level (VP or SVP) will be set by experience.
What You'll Do- Design multi-table data models and Power BI semantic models (Power Query, DAX) that tie operational data back to the general ledger
- Build finance reporting and KPI frameworks, from the P&L and balance sheet to adjusted EBITDA, working capital, and budget versus actual
- Reconcile and validate results against the books, using Excel and SQL, before anything reaches a client
- Lead working sessions and presentations with CFOs, controllers, and operating leaders, and turn their questions into clear requirements
- Own analytics workstreams from scoping through delivery, including timelines, quality, and engagement economics
- Review the team's models and logic, set modeling standards, and mentor junior team members so quality scales across the practice
- Find practical ways to use AI tools to speed up analysis and development, within client confidentiality requirements
Who We're Looking ForWe know this combination is uncommon. If you are strong in both finance and BI, we would like to hear from you even if you do not match every line below.

- Hands-on Power BI experience with real data modeling: multi-table models, DAX, and Power Query
- Working SQL, including joins, CTEs, and window functions
- A finance or accounting background, or deep experience building finance reporting: you know how a general ledger is structured and how the three statements connect
- Experience working directly with executives or clients, and some experience leading or mentoring others

- Opportunities for career advancement within a merit-based, entrepreneurial culture
