About the team: The Fintech Disputes & Exceptions Management Engineering group delivers precise resolution of payment discrepancies within Walmart's Finance Tech ecosystem. The team develops and maintains tools that enhance collaboration between internal teams and external suppliers, leveraging automation to minimize manual efforts. Focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence, the group supports Walmart's goals by ensuring accurate and timely dispute management. This team values strong technical skills in software development, problem solving, and iterative delivery to build reliable solutions that improve financial processes and contribute to business success.
What you'll do: - Lead platform engineering efforts by delivering scalable infrastructure, reusable tooling, and AI/ML frameworks aligned with strategic roadmaps.
- Architect and implement cloud-native, distributed systems ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and real-time data processing.
- Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams, including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting best practices and architectural consistency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
- Foster continuous improvement through innovation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of advanced development tools.
What you'll bring: - Extensive experience in platform engineering leadership, delivering scalable and reusable infrastructure components.
- Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture and distributed system design ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Strong proficiency in AI/ML integration, including building intelligent software systems and AI agents.
- Demonstrated ability to lead full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, testing, and incident response.
- Skilled in technical solution design, model-driven design, and applying engineering design processes.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java and JavaScript frameworks like React Redux.
- Effective mentor and technical leader, fostering engineering excellence and innovation across teams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders to define and deliver business-driven solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
