Role summary:
The Principal Software Engineer leads platform engineering efforts by delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions and reusable infrastructure components. This role drives the full software development lifecycle, integrating AI/ML technologies to build intelligent systems that serve millions. The position requires strategic technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across teams to ensure alignment with long-term architectural goals. The engineer applies sound judgment to design and implement distributed systems with high availability and fault tolerance, continuously improving processes and fostering innovation to meet evolving business and customer needs.
About the team:
The Fintech Disputes & Exceptions Management Engineering group delivers precise resolution of payment discrepancies within Walmart's Finance Tech ecosystem. The team develops and maintains tools that enhance collaboration between internal teams and external suppliers, leveraging automation to minimize manual efforts. Focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence, the group supports Walmart's goals by ensuring accurate and timely dispute management. This team values strong technical skills in software development, problem solving, and iterative delivery to build reliable solutions that improve financial processes and contribute to business success.
What you'll do:

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
