We're seeking someone to join our U.S. Banks Finance team to lead key aspects of DFAST readiness, and eventually lead other regulatory reporting initiatives which reflect the Banks' expanded product set and geographic footprint.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is an Executive Director level position within the Portfolio & Change Management job family which manages strategic change management, process re-engineering, and establishment of control procedures for projects. Focus on milestone delivery across projects, manage risks and issues that impact program objectives, and facilitate communication across related projects and impacted stakeholders to keep programs on track.
What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Lead end-to-end processes and/or programs that require complex decision making, advanced understanding of client and stakeholder needs and subject matter expertise
- Understand and adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; own risk and contingency plans for business area
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and team accountable to Firm standards
- Lead key aspects of the U.S. Banks DFAST readiness program, including execution, governance, controls, documentation, and regulatory deliverables
- Drive the strategic expansion of regulatory reporting capabilities to support new products, legal entities, and geographic growth across the U.S. Banks subsidiaries
- Partner with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Technology, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable regulatory reporting and stress testing solutions
- Oversee the development and enhancement of policies, procedures, data governance, and control frameworks supporting regulatory reporting processes
- Manage regulatory examinations, internal audits, and remediation efforts related to regulatory reporting and stress testing
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Represent U.S. Banks Finance in senior management forums, governance committees, and cross-functional regulatory initiatives
What you'll bring to the role:
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division

- Ability to manage risk and impact to functional area, and create plans to mitigate those risks
- Understanding of U.S. bank regulatory reporting, stress testing, capital planning, and governance frameworks, including DFAST, FR Y-14, Call Report, and related regulatory requirements
- Ability to design, implement, and enhance governance, controls, policies, procedures, and documentation supporting regulatory reporting and stress testing processes
- Experience in forecasting, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet management, capital, liquidity, or regulatory reporting within a banking organization
- Ability to manage complex regulatory deliverables, establish execution plans, and drive accountability across Finance, Risk, Treasury, Technology, and business partners
- Understanding of data governance, systems architecture, and end-to-end reporting processes supporting regulatory submissions and management reporting
- Experience in managing regulatory examinations, internal audit reviews, remediation activities, and interactions with regulatory agencies
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; CPA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred.
- At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $265,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
