Full Job Description
The Hook: Why this role matters now

Step into a high-growth role where you will help build a holistic, category-defining cyber risk management model. As a Junior Underwriter, you won't just be checking boxes; you will take complete ownership of managing and retaining a critical renewal book of primary and excess Cyber, Tech E&O business. This is a unique "step-up" opportunity where you will work directly alongside a VP Underwriter and our in-house security teams, learning to combine advanced security telemetry with traditional underwriting principles to deliver unmatched value to our clients.

The Mission: What you will achieve in the first 6 months

In your first six months, you will take full accountability for driving strong retention and rate adequacy across your renewal book of Cyber and Tech E&O accounts. You will own and grow key broker relationships, acting as a highly responsive and professional partner. Moving beyond traditional underwriting, you will learn to actively incorporate security and technology signals into your risk evaluation and pricing decisions. As you develop your underwriting judgment, you will collaborate with our security and technology teams to shape client engagement strategies, take on new business submissions within your assigned authority, and aggressively contribute to our broader territory growth goals.

The Toolkit:
  • 2-4 years of proven underwriting or broking experience in cyber and/or professional liability.
  • You must have a solid working knowledge of cyber insurance markets and coverage forms, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to manage a book independently while knowing exactly when to escalate complex risks.
  • This role is remote but requires you to be based in or willing to relocate to the Dallas, TX area.
  • Professional liability experience (E&O, Tech E&O, Media, EPL), and/or Cyber experience.
  • An existing broker network or a strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity and risk concepts is preferred but not required
  • Technical fluency in G-Suite.

The Culture: How we work

We move fast, operate with zero ego, and embrace a bias to action. We are guided strongly by our four core values: transparency, excellence, grit, and humility. You will operate in a collaborative, distributed team environment where you are empowered to make decisions, defend your underwriting logic, and continuously seek out opportunities to expand your market footprint.

The Benefits: Standardized perks

You will work alongside prominent leaders and innovators from the insurance, technology, and cybersecurity industries with robust professional development advancements.
