Job Description:

The U.S. Hematology Brand Lead, Navtemadlin, is the senior commercial leader accountable for shaping and executing the U.S. launch of Navtemadlin within the US Oncology franchise. This role owns the integrated U.S. brand strategy, launch roadmap, market-shaping agenda, and commercial execution across relevant customer and stakeholder segments upon launch. The Brand Lead will translate scientific and market insights into a differentiated launch strategy for an oral hematology therapy and mobilize cross-functional teams to deliver launch readiness, adoption, and sustainable growth.

Success requires deep hematology/oncology expertise and commercialization experience, proven launch leadership, ability to build and manage teams, market-shaping capability, scientific acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver results through a matrixed organization.

WHAT - Main Responsibilities

Brand Strategy
  • Own and drive the U.S. brand strategy, including pre-launch planning, positioning, value narrative, and long-range plan for Navtemadlin.
  • Lead the end-to-end U.S. launch strategy and integrated launch plan, translating strategic choices into clear workstreams, milestones, accountabilities, and decision points.
  • Ensure a single, differentiated, and scientifically credible brand narrative across customer segments, channels, and cross-functional partners.
  • Lead scenario planning for key clinical, regulatory, competitive, access, and operational uncertainties, and drive timely mitigation and course correction.
  • Build a lifecycle strategy that anticipates future evidence, indications, combinations, customer needs, and competitive developments.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive market-shaping strategy to build disease awareness, clarify the patient journey, strengthen diagnostic and referral pathways, and prepare the market for launch.
  • Identify and prioritize the stakeholders, institutions, care settings, and treatment decision points that will most influence launch success.
  • Generate actionable insights from hematologists/oncologists, patients, caregivers, advocacy organizations, payers, health systems, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs and Market Access to address evidence, education, access, and adoption barriers within appropriate functional and compliance boundaries.
  • Define the commercial model for an oral therapy, including customer engagement, patient identification, treatment initiation, adherence, persistence, distribution, access, and support considerations.
  • Shape an integrated professional and patient/caregiver experience that is consistent, relevant, and measurable across personal and non-personal channels.


Commercial Accountability
  • Own launch objectives, performance indicators, critical success factors, and the commercial operating plan for the brand.
  • Own the U.S. brand P&L assumptions, commercial investment strategy, and long-term business performance objectives, ensuring alignment between strategic priorities, portfolio value creation, and resource allocation.
  • Lead integrated tactical planning and omnichannel execution across healthcare professionals, institutions, patients, and caregivers.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to design the field strategy, customer segmentation, targeting, deployment assumptions, training priorities, and pull-through approach.
  • Oversee budget planning, forecasting inputs, agency management, and resource allocation to maximize launch impact and return on investment.
  • Establish launch dashboards and review mechanisms; monitor readiness and in-market performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive rapid course correction.
  • Ensure strong insights generation, analytics, competitive intelligence, and performance measurement to inform decisions


Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead and develop a high-performing brand team culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, patient focus, innovation, and disciplined execution.
  • Establish launch governance, decision rights, escalation pathways, and prioritization across the core brand and launch teams.
  • Represent Ipsen externally with key opinion leaders, advocacy organizations, professional societies, and strategic healthcare stakeholders to shape the future treatment landscape and strengthen Ipsen's leadership in hematology
  • Drive alignment across Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Analytics, Forecasting, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Communications, Supply, Finance, and Global teams.
  • Serve as the central commercial integrator across launch initiatives, ensuring consistency, sequencing, and efficient use of resources.
  • Communicate and influence effectively at the executive level through launch reviews, business reviews, investment decisions, and leadership updates.
  • Build productive external partnerships with agencies, vendors, and other partners as required.
  • Anticipate emerging market trends, competitive threats, and evolving standards of care, proactively identifying strategic opportunities to differentiate Navtemadlin and strengthen Ipsen's competitive position.
  • Build and scale the commercial capabilities, talent, and operating model necessary to support a successful launch and long-term franchise growth.


HOW - Knowledge & Experience

Knowledge & Experience (essential):
  • 15+ years of progressive commercial pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, including senior U.S. marketing or brand leadership roles.
  • Deep hematology/oncology experience, with a strong understanding of treatment pathways, specialist customers, centers of care, and the competitive dynamics of hematology space.
  • Proven success leading or playing a central leadership role in a U.S. product launch, from pre-launch strategy and readiness through launch execution and optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience commercializing oral drugs, including the distinct customer, patient journey, access, distribution, initiation, adherence, and persistence considerations associated with oral therapies.
  • Proven market-shaping experience, including disease education, patient journey development, stakeholder activation, diagnostic/referral pathway enhancement, or creation of a new treatment category.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning brand strategy and business performance and achieving financial, strategic, and launch objectives.
  • Strong scientific and clinical acumen, with the ability to translate complex evidence into clear commercial strategy and customer value propositions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally, influence senior stakeholders, manage ambiguity, and make high-quality decisions in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams and agency partners.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. pharmaceutical promotional, regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.


Knowledge & Experience (preferred):
  • Direct leadership of a successful oncology or hematology launch in the U.S., preferably involving a first-in-class therapy, novel mechanism, or significant market-development component.
  • Experience leading commercialization strategy for therapies requiring substantial stakeholder activation, treatment paradigm evolution, or market creation
  • Experience in a market requiring significant pre-launch education, treatment pathway evolution, or new stakeholder behaviors.


Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required
  • MBA or advanced degree (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MD, or other relevant scientific discipline) strongly preferred

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $232,500 - $320,000
